Just an amusing story about this e/s…. after reading reviews and testing it, decided to buy. At the BB counter they were busy. I asked for Cognac e/s, paid for my purchase and when I got home, I found that they had given me Champagne e/s, i.e., asked for cognac but got champagne but still funny! Of course, I returned. And P.S. I do love the cognac e/s.

This is absolutely beautiful. Almost tne same color as MAC Twinks but with insanely improved pigmentation and smoothness. Applies like a dream and the plumy coppery brown shade is amazing. I’ve really been impressed with Bobbi Brown eyeshadows, quality is amazing on par with Tom Ford. I’m definitely going to get more.

Hands down one of my favorite eyeshadows and my Go To shimmery brown. Strong brown pigmentation with hints of red and plum. It’s very similar to MAC Twinks — which I also like — but I think it blows Twinks out of the water in quality and pigmentation. I’m really surprised it isn’t better known because it’s probably one of BB’s best products and it’s by far the best BB eyeshadow I’ve ever used.

My god what an eyeshadow! This was the eyeshadow that started my love affair with Bobbi brown. It is a deep copper with a plummy undertone and has a satin finish. On my lazy days, I use this all over my lids for an intense but super easy look. The eyeshadow is velvety to touch and goes on so smooth and even. It lasts through the entire work day and comes off easily at night. For me, this shade is top 5 in my eyeshadow collection. For reference i’m nc42 skintone, brown hair and brown eyes.

This is one of my favorite shadows by BB. The color is very unique, a brown with red in it. It is also highly pigmented and lasts and lasts. I love this so much, I’ve worn it every day for the past 3 weeks! I have extremely yellow toned skin and generally do not like shadows that are too warm as they make my skin look dull. This however, is perfect!

I bought this shadow from a cosmetic outlet. I LUV IT! I’m a dark skinned woman and it just works so well on my skin. It’s not too shiny/metallic. This is one of my go to shadows and I got it for a GREAT price!

This is one of my absolute favorite eyeshadows! Like all Bobbi Brown shadows, Cognac is highly pigmented and true to shade… I hate when shadows look different when you wear them than they do in the container! I highly prefer Bobbi Brown shadows to MAC for this reason. Cognac is a warm, shimmery coppery-bronze color. I wear it almost everyday!

Lovely colour. It’s more rich chocolate brown with some red undertones to it rather than plum…
Such a nice velvety texture and blends well. I like how you can pop these out (square packaging) and put them into your own custom compact…overall great everyday colour!

Cognac is described on the Bobbi Brown website as “shimmering deep plum.” I would describe it more as brown with shades of reddish plum. For me, it is quite an unusual shade, and I was definitely surprised when I found it to be very beautiful. I love Bobbi Brown shadows, and I’m pleased to add this one to my collection.
