The quality that you get for the price is unbeatable. The same is true of much of Makeup Revolution’s products which is why I get excited wherever I see a display of these products at Ulta, TJMaxx or Marshall’s.
This palette in particular carries some of my favorite shimmer shades. The same is true of Iconic 2 and 3. It has the pop and pigmentation of a much more expensive eyeshadow and at the same time it is very wearable. It goes on the eyelid easy with my fingers and gives a bit of a foiled effect especially in photos.
I do prefer it to my Naked original palette though I love that palette, because I find the Iconic palette so much more wearable on me for everyday. The Iconic is a close color dupe for the Naked palette but the finish is quite different. They both have a stunning effect on the eye but I prefer the Iconic for its wearability.
I love matte eyeshadows way more than shimmer eyeshadows but I really enjoy shimmer eyeshadows in the summer…the way the Iconic eyeshadows look when the sun hits it is breathtaking. Besides MAC pigments, these are my favorite shimmer shades, out of both drugstore and high end. I embrace all the shimmery goodness. Makeup Revolution is responsible for opening my eyes literally and figuratively.

A good quality palette that’s great for the price. It only costs $8 dollars CDN. The shades are nicely pigmented and easy to apply, not chalky at all. You get a range of mostly shimmery neutral browns, golds, a deep grey-charcoal shade and medium toned blue-grey(similar to MAC’s Silver Ring e/s). For reference, I do have very oily eyelids and use MAC Paint Pot in Painterly as an e/s base. No matter what brand of eyeshadow I use, I do experience some fading of eyeshadow by the 8 and 10 hour mark of wear. I was not surprised to notice some of the eyeshadow had faded 8 hours after I applied it. The palette is definitely a similar dupe to some of the more expensive palettes that are popular in the makeup world. Lorac and Urban Decay to name a few. I bought two palettes from the Makeup Revolution website recently. Shipping is not cheap but the palettes are much cheaper compared to the higher end palettes on the market, so if you are on a budget, definitely check this line out.
