The lasting power for this shadow is great. For me it is not an all over color but more for a smokey eye or as a powder liner….very pretty deep purple

GORGEOUS! absolutely beautiful shade, I haven’t been able to find anything like it. It’s perfect for a smokey look, but if used in moderation, can also be used for everyday wear. It’s a deep maroon / chocolate brown that looks great on my fair complexion/light eyes.

I LOVE this eyeshadow. It’s a deep purple, maroon colour with a good payoff. I use it with pink, peach, brown…it’s perfect for a smokey look. This is one of my favourite and I will definitely repurchase.

Gorgeous, shimmery, brown plum. The quality and texture of this eyeshadow is excellent. It applies very easily, which I can’t say for all dark shades. I don’t get any powdery mess on my upper cheekbones, and it glides on my eyelids without streaking. Wears well, although I always use UDPP underneath my eyeshadow.

This reminds me of MAC’s es in sketch actually, but slightly frostier and a deeper purple. They both are nice actually and both are not that easily blendable. This is a really pretty color however, if you are trying to opt for a smokey look without doing the usual black or grays. It’s more sophisticated then brown because it’s a charcoal eggplant color. I already have something like this so I guess I just have to use this one up and see which one I like better. It is a beautiful color though so i do recommend it if you do not already have something like it in your collection.

Beautiful shimmery plum brown. Really brought out the green in my lbue/green eyes. Unusal color. Long lasting. Definitely would repurchase.

Simply stunning! I’m in love with the colour. It’s a deep eggplant with a slight shimmer, goes on like a dream, turns into a fantastic eyeliner! I is my favourite out of all my shadows!

I bought Magic Night because I was trying to recreate this look I had found in an old issue of Allure. The model was wearing a brown-eggplant eyeshadow with a nude blush and nude lips. I just had to recreate that look! Finding an eyeshadow that matched the model was difficult until I found Magic Night. Actually when I purchased Magic Night I wasn’t even thinking about recreating the look–at that point I had forgotten all about it. I had gone to Chanel with a friend and Magic Night caught my eye. I skipped on it at first with intentions of going back to get it. Instead I ended up with a l/g–Beige Guitare. I couldn’t stop thinking about Magic Night after that so I went to my counter a few days later and picked it up and I’m so glad I did. It turns out that I found the picture of the look I wanted to recreate and Magic Night was almost identical to the shadow the model was wearing. I wore it on my lid w/ a bit of Carbon in the crease just to make it a little smokier. The end result was great and I received a lot of compliments on it. The color is a mixture of brown/burgundy/eggplant. It goes on smoothly. Under certain lights it twinkles and a purple pops out which makes the shadow even more beautiful and mysterious. This is my first Chanel eyeshadow purchase and I am impressed. I love the uniqueness of this color.

I saw this and passed on it. just another purple. heard some raves here so i went back tried it on my hand. Pretty eggplant plum shade. I then swiped a little Liberty over it, and i could see the violet flash to this and it was more unique. So i bought it. Well, once again, on my eyes, this color just looks like a smoky blackened plum color. Definately doesnt have the flashes of violet to it. Just another dark rich purple shade. Cant say its worth the $28.50 price tag. Its super pigmented and its also a little hard to blend. Would not repurchase this.

Wow… this is beautiful! It *is* a bit deceptive tho… It looks like a very nice, rather browned-plum shade, with a lot of shimmer. Oddly, the shimmer -seems- to disappear upon application, until you get it into the light, and then the most glorious plum sheen appears! It’s not over the top, and not FROSTY – just a very nice sheen of plum over a brown/plum base. Awesome. Nicely pigmented, I’m NC25 and need to be a bit careful or it’s too heavy for me,so I think most anyone could wear this! just a lovely, lovely color, and one which can be worn in any season! Actually, kinda struck me as more of a fall shade, but I wear what I feel like when I feel like, and leave the seasonal stuff to the companies! 🙂
I tried to get a pic of this in the review, but can’t seem to manage it, but there’s a pic from Temptalia in my profile.
