I love this eyeshadow palette so much!!! Don’t get me wrong the price tag is crazy however the shades look so beautiful on the eyes!! First of all I love the simple and cute packaging and the little mirror! Secondly, these shades all go beautifully together!!! They have a rich buttery feel and glide on super effortlessly! They also have a great staying power! I would recommend this to someone who doesn’t want to be overwhelmed by a ton of colors in palettes and wants to create looks simply and quickly with quality product!

This is amazing! From desk to date to disco?!! None of these shades are matte they are all frosts or glimmery just gorg. I was rec’d this palette by my friend & this quad did NOT disappoint. The shades are Beige/gold I had to wait to wear it because I had pink eye it was killing me to wait! I’ve ordered a set of Charlotte travel brushes (I travel w my MOTD) this is my favorite quad I own you need this! USD$53

I am not an eyeshadow aficionada. I rarely wear it, but when I do, I really want it to bring out the blues in my eyes (typically, more neutrals–specifically, brown shades) and be something I can wear both to work and out to play. I’ve tried the ones that get the rave reviews (e.g. Lorac Pro, Urban Decay, etc.) and I was left wanting more.
So when I was in New York in September 2015, I decided to visit the Charlotte Tilbury counter. Initially, the Rock Chick palette was recommended for me and while I have cool yellow undertones, I gravitated towards The Golden Goddess palette. Since then, I have worn it multiple times and is, at this point in time, the only eyeshadow I own–both in palette and single form.
I find the palette to be very good at being work-friendly, but as Charlotte Tilbury intends, to also be something that can be worked into a party/night out look too. The shades are versatile, and the light taupey brown shade on the top right corner is especially great for putting in the crease.
I’ve seen some reviews say the pigmentation is lacking, while I don’t disagree (the Pop shade with the sparkles is definitely not as strong as you might think) but I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing. I’m not really a huge fan of pigmentation so strong it socks you in the face and you have to have a light hand to apply. I’ll admit, if I swatch it on my hand or arm, the cream/champagne color shade *does* look a hair light, but on my eyes when used with the other shades in this palette, especially over MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre, it really stands out. I think a base layer really helps to make things really work with this palette, but given that the price *is* $52, I can understand some disappointment.
Some other reviews I’ve seen knock the palette packaging for being plastic, but I don’t have a problem with it. I usually travel with my makeup in a travel bag and I find that it’s sturdy enough to go around with it without too much worry. I still think the packaging is very nice (it comes with a lovely mirror) and I don’t care that much about plastic vs. other materials so long as the product inside actually works.
One of my issues with some of the more popular palettes is that the colors ran together and became muddied. I do not experience that with these eyeshadows. The colors that get applied at 8am stay the same color until 10pm, even with blinking and normal wear and tear.
I’ve used it with and without primer and did not experience any creasing. I also did not experience any fall-out when using the shades of this palette, either.
Overall, I really like this palette (enough to make it my only one for now–though, we’ll see how much longer; Dolce Vita and Fallen Angel are calling to me) and I’d definitely repurchase it.
Pros:
– Great for blue eyes
– Versatile
– No fall-out
– No creasing (ymmv on this one; different eye shapes/skin types may have different issues)
– Colors remain the same all day
– Sturdy packaging for travel

– Pigmentation may be lacking (for those who prefer bold pigmentation)

I’ve been wanting to try the Charlotte Tilbury line for a while and I decided to buy two of the eye shadow quads and a crème shadow in Norma Jean. I was blown away by how much I love the eye products in this line. The Golden Godess eye palette consists of four colors: a champagne frost shade, a beige grey shimmer shade, a bronze shimmer shade, and a gold glitter shade. The colors do not have names and there are no mattes in this palette. I personally love the frost finish of these shadows. They are absolutely beautiful. The shadows blend like a dream. Even though I am pale, I found these to be very wearable. The only con I have is the size. It’s a tiny palette and the price is ridiculous, $52! The colors are stunning and I want to try more.
