   Lumi is a stunning iridescent white with turquoise-green shift loose eyeshadow. This shadow applies very easily and does not require a glitter glue or wet brush. A little of it goes a long way and it does not take much to build. That being said it is probably best to do your face makeup after applying Lumi. This product also works beautifully as a fun colored highlighter or a topper for other shadows and lipsticks. It is also a great (sheer) shadow in its own right. It holds up fabulously and at only $14 for a pot you are getting a lot of product that will last ages. I highly recommend this product and will absolutely repurchase when I run out.

   Sugarpill has recently begun selling Lumi again, after it being out of stock for a long time due to a key ingredient becoming unavailable. I did not have the old Lumi so cannot comment on any changes in the colour or formula, but I haven’t heard anyone saying that there is a noticeable difference between the two.

   Lumi is a difficult colour to pin down. In the pot it is a super shimmery white. When applied to bare skin, it is a shimmery sheerish white with a mint green shift. If it is applied on top of another colour, it takes on that colour much like an opal does. I think “opalescent” is the best way to describe this shade. Lumi is very different to Ghosted, which is a shimmery sheerish white with a very definite pink shift. I often put Ghosted on the inner third of my lid and Lumi on the outer two thirds of my lid to get the most opal-like effect.

   Sugarpill’s loose shadows are smooth, pigmented, stay fast to the eyelid, don’t crease or stain, and a little goes a long way. But I wish that Lumi was available in a pressed formula, as I find loose shadows a little difficult to work with: I still don’t have the knack of applying loose shadows without shadow dropping down onto my cheeks. There is no fallout once the shadow is on the eyelid, but during application it can get messy. If you’re new to using loose shadows, my recommendation is to get the tiniest amount of shadow on your brush and apply it by pressing the brush against your skin. But even then, I’d also recommend doing your eyes before you do your base makeup.

   I have not experienced any irritation using this shadow, although I do not have sensitive skin.

   Lumi is one of Sugarpill’s most famous colours, and it’s really worth the money. The formula has a bit of a learning curve, but it’s worth it.

   Sugarpill describes their loose shadows accurately as “Sparkling loose eyeshadows for dazzling effects! Packed full of shimmery goodness.” Lumi is described as “Iridescent snow white with turquoise sheen and flashing bursts of blue and green.” I’m not 100% on this one, it’s very sheer and I just don’t know.

   The turquoise sheen really shows through over a white base. It appears as a really, really light mint. I don’t like this much for eyebrow or inner eye highlighting and the fallout of the sparkly bits isn’t great for my oily eyelids. It’s basically just a sheen separated from color.

   I just lacking an opinion on this. I don’t use it anymore.

   I got this as a sample and it didnt do that much for me. I think it may be my skintone.

   This is a beautiful, iridescent white. The colors that come out to play when the light shines on it are kind of a periwinkle purple and seafoam green. Love this for highlighting and stays in place wonderfully with a primer (I use Clinique).
