Great burgundy that complements natural skin tones just gives a professional look on its own, for a night look I add a black shadow in the crease and it looks flawless. I can use it on it’s own, under a shadow, and mixed with a shadow all with out a problem

The pen is way to big!! And this color does not suit my skin. It has some pinky undertones, and I look really cheap wearing this color, but that ain’t NYX’s fault. *lol*
It will leave mark over my lid every time I blink my eyes too. And that looks horrible.
It is also to creamy, so it feels like i cant control what goes on my lids. I will not buy this again. Maybe nyx-jumbo’s milk, but i will wear that as a highlighter.

I had to try these because of all the reviews. These for me were “okay”. I won’t be purchasing them again but they are fun to play with and I’m passing them down to my teens. I didn’t find anything objectionable about them, I just don’t prefer them.
You will need a primer under these. These are very creamy and don’t set.
I wanted to review the rust color because I am NC 35/37 and actually can be a NC 40 in the summer. (we live in Hawaii at the moment and even with sunscreen I get a tan).
So it might be my undertones but this color applied to my eyes different from what it looks like in the stick. In the stick it looks to be a very intense orangish/reddish brown (which is what I think of when I think of the color rust) but on my eyes it came out as a reddish purple brown. Almost leaning towards cool rather than warm/neutral.
I did not deduct points for that. The only reason I took off a lippie was that I found the formula very creamy and it didn’t set. All in all though this is pretty good. Cheap so you can pick one up and see if you like before investing in more.
