I am so unsure about this piggie, even after having it for almost a year. I like it, but don’t love it. It looks great mixed with body lotion for some shimmer, and mixed with a clear gloss, it reminds me of the fashionflower lipgelee, which I love. I just wish I could find a way to pull it off as an eyeshadow, then I would LOVE it!

This product has been sitting in my drawer for really long time..maybe like for good 3 years. I don’t know much looks I can do with this but let me tell you something this is a great colour. I wore this colour with a red lipsticks and it was amazing. I used mac 239 brush and tab off any excess on the brush n there were no fall outs so i had no problems using it. I also used Mac painterly pot as a base & it works great. overall, its a good colour …

This is a beautiful pink/lavendar color that’s very shimmery and iridescent. It’s very chunky so expect a lot of fallout. When I blinked, I could see pink sparkles flying off my eyelashes in my peripheral vision. I will definitely not wear this with my contacts because of the fallout, but it’s a great pigment for your collection. This reminds me of Milk pigment from the Hello Kitty collection. Milk has a smoother, chalkier texture.

This is one of the prettiest colored pigments I have ever seen from MAC. Problem is, it just doesn’t translate to my skin. When I use it, it just shows up as lavender and pink sparkles. The actual pigment is a milky pink with a lavender shimmer and with pink and lavender microshimmers. The color itself is so light it is invisible as an eyeshadow, even with UDPP. I am very light complexioned also, so I cannot imagine this showing up on anyone (I am a NW20). Another thing, this has major fall out and a gritty consistency which other reviewers have mentioned.
I guess Helium is a good name for it, for the pigment is as insubstantial as a trace gas.
Not a must have, and hence I will not repurchase. I would like trying to duplicate this, however, as the color is so unique, I doubt it is possible. Too bad it doesn’t look as lovely on the eyelid as it does in the jar.

This is the worst pigment I have ever worked with. I absolutely HATE it. The color is so gorgeous and it’s such a shame. The only upside to this product is the color, and that’s why I’m giving it a 2/5 instead of a 1/5.
The main thing I hate about this product is the fact that it goes everywhere! On my desk where I do my make up, a little on my clothes, all the way down my face. The fallout is so bad. Another thing is the texture is horrible. I find it hard to smooth on my eyelids because it’s so chunky.
Overall a pigment I would stay away from if it is repromoted.

Helium is probably one of the prettiest pigments MAC has ever put out, but it does have it’s downfalls. For starters, this shade is insanely pretty! It’s a very iridescent light pink that flashes white and lavender. It’s undoubtedly an incredibly unique shade that I can’t say I have anything similar to. This pigment would get a HUGE 5 from me.. IF, it wasn’t for the lousy texture. This is one of the chunkier/grittier pigments .. similar to Frost, Kitchmas, Steel Blue, etc. There is a lot of fallout with this one unless it’s used wet, and for that reason I don’t reach for this one often. The shade though is gorgeous, and for that reason I’ve kept this one in my stash. Overall, a great shade, just a less than desireable texture.

I got this at CCO for $14, which I thought wasn’t a bad deal. It looked very pretty in the lighting and seemed versatile like someone said. I felt that I could use it on my eyes, cheeks , lips, as body shimmer, etc.. but when I finally came home I realized that I HATED THE TEXTURE. It is so chalky and falls on my cheeks, etc. I wear contacts and it was VERY uncomfortable for me the entire day. I’ve had no problems with other MAC pigments, but this one seems to have way too much fallout. I’m asian, and this skin made my eyelids look very weird…dry…chalky..messy. ugh. I was so disappointed. I drove over 90 miles to get this…. =(

I am kind of surprised the rating is soo low on this, because I absolutely love this pale pink pigment, I have found so many uses for this that it went from being ok to amazing. Although I know some people may not like the fact that it is a little chunky and has a bit of fallout, but with good blending and a steady hand that will be eliminated.
Helium is so multipurpose that it would be great used with a clear gloss, highlighter, lid color, and even a cheek color (I only suggest this if you are going out, otherwise its a bit over the top).
I bought this at my CCO, just for the fact that I collect pigments…but truthfully in the last couple weeks this has probably been one of the pigments I’ve used the most, especially using it as an all over lid color with gold mode on the crease. Definitely will buy this again, if I ever run out

This is my first pigment buy. I got this at my CCO for $13.75 so it was a great price. The color is a light sparkly pink. Great for a wash of color before you use your heavier colors and it also makes a great highlighter. I can’t wait to mix it with lotion this summer. It will looks great on tan skin!
