Shimmery – not glittery or sparkly. Really just sort of an awesome product and easier to work with than it might appear at first. I actually put it on with my finger and I layer it over my Laura Mercier creme eyeshadow. Love it!

This is a shimmery light nude shadow that comes loose in a pot and has to be applied with a brush. At first glance, this seems like a pain to apply, but it’s actually much easier once you get the hang of it. The trick is barely touch the brush to the powder and then to tap the brush off on the side of the pot, shaking the excess back into the pot. This way, a very small amount adheres to the brush, the perfect amount for applying to the lid. This shade, Nude Beach, is a nude beige with light brown undertones that is almost the same tone as my skin. Therefore it works well as a lid shade when I want to do a nude eye but want a bit of sheen. The shadow is shimmery, but not glittery or sparkly. It has a nice amount of sheen and it can be dumbed down by applying a similar matte shade on top if you just want a hint of shimmer rather than the full-on effect (this is usually what I do). I stopped wearing shimmery shadow when I hit my 40s but several yt video gurus, like Lisa Eldridge, suggested that a small amount of luminosity can still be quite flattering on women my age, so I thought I would give it a try with Nude Beach. I used a small amount of NB on the lid and in the inner corner and then used a similar matte shade on top, just patted in to damp down the shimmer a little pit. The luminous quality of NB was still evident though and the effect was quite pretty. I then used UD Naked in the outer third of the creased and blended everything really well. (I have to mention this was an evening look, I would never wear so much eye mu for daytime.) I was pleased with the overall look and think NB added that something extra that a matte shadow alone would not have been able to do. It lit up my entire eye area, catching the light and it made my hazel eyes pop. It is an nice nude shimmery look that anyone can do. If you are younger, you can certainly use NB alone all over the lid and into the crease for a nice single shadow look that will look very luminous and make your eyes pop. I do like Nude Beach. The color is spot on and the texture is great. It’s very blendable, especially for a shimmer formula and there’s very little fallout as long as you tap the brush off before you apply the shadow. I used a small fluffy ELF brush to apply it and it worked just fine. I used a MAC crease brush to blend. I’m a huge fan of Bare Minerals shadows (and blushes). The powder is fine and densely pigmented and most importantly for me, talc free. I highly recommend these shadows in general, and Nude Beach in particular.

I like this color, it’s a great neutral with shimmer so it highlights the eyes and makes them brighter without casting dark shadows like some taupes can do. Works for daytime/the office or nights out. I always apply this BEFORE my under eye concealer and powder, so there’s no glittery fallout on my cheeks. I use this alone on my lid and crease with espresso eyeliner that’s smoked out. Expensive, but you get enough to last forever!

Love using this when I am in a hurry and need a no brainer eye makeup look. It looks really great paired with MAC Naked Lunch too. It has quite a bit of glimmer to it so I prefer almost patting this color on so I don’t get fall out under my eyes. This just gives enough shimmer and definition without looking too made up. The color in the pot is exactly the color you get. I also find this makes my eyes look more alive and awake.
I got this color in the spring bloom kit and there is more than enough shadow than I will ever need in a lifetime and it’s not even the full size. With some primer this color lasts throughout the day and doesn’t crease hours later when I take my makeup off. I have sensitive eyes and this never irritates them.
I own a few other BE loose shadows and I have to say they are some of my favorites.

This is one of my favorite eyeshadows. It is a gorgeous, glimmery, perfect nude that just lights up my eyes. I use this all over from lashline to eyebrow, and then line under my bottom lashes with it, so that it surrounds my eyes 360 degrees. I normally wear it all by itself because it creates a beautiful lit-up halo effect around my eyes, without looking white, fake or frosty. It’s just a perfect glimmery nude. I’m not sure how this particular color will look on other skin colors, but on my pale warm skin (NC15), it looks lovely! 🙂

This by far my favorite BE eye shadow. It is a shimmery sandy-pink color that is just gorgeous on my pale/cool skin. It brightens my eye area and make me appear more awake and looks very natural. I have over a hundred shadows from BE (they’re my fav makeup brand) and this is the ONLY shadow that I use a lot, almost daily. Use this with a dark brown liner and deep brown mascara and wow, it just looks very understated and gorgeous.

Nude beach is one of the best base color eyeshadows ever, I’ve used it for years queen Hellen is the second eye shadow base I love it’s more gold.

When I wear this on my eyes, they glow. It brightens my entire face. I absolutely love love love this product. I like it with a little black eyeliner for definition. Buy this eyeshadow, you will not regret it!

This eye shadow is GORGEOUS. Beautiful beige-y pinky silvery tone, and very shimmery. It could be a glittery mess if you apply too much, which is why some people probably don’t care for it. But you just have to learn it… I get the tiniest amount on my brush and then tap off the excess, and apply it to my lower lid only, right above the lash line. It brightens my eyes and gives a beautiful, romantic glow. Since you only need so little, it should last a long time. Wish it had a sifter, but still love it and will repurchase.
