This is a blue grey good for nightout smokey eye. Its a huge pot so i dont think ill ever finish it. I dont reach for this much but it is a nice one to have in the collection. I have mostly boring browns. Its a good formula not chalky. I like the slighty blue tint to it but its just not my cup of tea. i wouldnt repurchase because its a lot of product. if you are looking for a grey shadow thats easy to blend with a unique blue in it this is great one to check out

I thought this was a unique shade. I wish it was more grey and less blue but it’s still decent to have in my collection. Because there is so much of it, I don’t think I need to worry about not being able to repurchase. If you’re looking into getting this at a CCO or from a swap, etc. I’d say go for it. MAC doesn’t really have anything else like it in its line and I haven’t seen anything like it from other brands.

I was dissapointed because the stripes in the eyeshadow did not show up very much. This is a basic grey eyeshadow nothing special. This is one reason I don’t shop online this color looked horrible on me.However the shadow itself is pretty and soft and applied well just look off on me.

I saw a picture of this e/s in a magazine and instantly caught my attention. I was looking for a grey eyeshadow and loved the extra lines through it. Like all things great from MAC it is LE.
please press continued to see my picture of it 🙂

So much love for Glamora Castle. This eyeshadow is so gorgeous, I have nothing like it in my collection. Each time I wear this I receive compliments, it’s extremely flattering. I definitely recommend this eyeshadow to the fairer ladies. I am quite fair and it looks very nice. It blends out so easily and has a soft texture. The patterning has stayed quite well on mine even after several uses.

I generally liked the single larger eyeshadows in the Tartan Tale collection. I bought all but the green color. I have brownish hazel eyes and found that they all flattered my coloring however I used them, whether over my entire lid or for shading / highlighting. This particular color was one of my two favorites. I used it dramatically all over my lids and it really made my eyes pop and look larger. I just love both the basic and the more unique MAC shadows!

This is the only grey that I have ever really liked on my orangey brown eyes. I have tried many others but have always felt like they weren’t very flattering on me for some reason. But this one, I love and have worn numerous times since I’ve gotten it. It may be because of the very slight turquoise in it which is the best color for my eyes. This is my go to grey now. Would purchase again if it wasn’t limited edition.
This is my favorite way to wear it: Shroom on inner lid, Aquadisiac on outer lid, Glamora Castle smoked out in and above crease with Plumage in the outer V.

This is so far the only thing that is still staying with me from A Tartan Tale collection. The other shadows are just too sheer or light to show up any colors on my lids, but not this one. “Glamora Castle” looks unappealing from the pan, but once applied on my lids it is this beautiful grayish teal color that looks really nice on me, perfect for a day time subtle look. It wakes up my entire collection and makes my eyes pop. I really like this eyeshadow from the collection and thanks Mac for such a unique color!

This came out just in time as I was looking for a good medium gray shadow from MAC. I do like this one once you get past the teal blue striping. It’s a wonderful true gray shade for contouring (not too blue, not too plum, no green tones…just right). Normally, I don’t like any of the mineralized e/s that have come out but the ones from the Tartan Tale Collection all have a different type of texture. I want to say it swipes on like a satin with a hint of shimmer. I really like this one & with the larger size, it’s going to last me twice as long as a normal size e/s would. (For reference, I’m a C3/NC25 with yellow undertones)

This color is from MAC’s new “A Tartan Tale” collection. The single eyeshadows from this collection are larger (about the same package size as the mineralize duos) and are more expensive, but to be fair, you get more, All the single e/s are etched with a tartan pattern, and are multi colored…when you drag your brush across, you will pick up a collection of all the colors…cool but not unique. Glamora Castle is silver/gray color with thin stripes of a dark blue/teal color..the resulting color is not what I would call gray-it’s more of a greenish dirty teal, It’s one of those colors that will look different on everyone,. It did look good on my medium green eyes, although it was a touch more blue/teal that I would usually wear. I’m glad I have it, as it would be hard to dupe, and I have nothing like it in my collection. Since this is unpredictable, I’d test it on before buying. Tartan Tale is one of the nicest collections I’ve seen from MAC in sometime. I expect it will go fast.
EDIT****Although in the same package, I’m not sure these are mineralize shadows. MAC is usually pretty clear when a shadow is mineralize, plus lately, all the mineralize shadows have either been duos or trios, and are domed in shape. These are not. I may be wrong-just an observation as I have several mineralize shadows.
