   I have many many of all the Two Faced Palettes and this are the same shadows I get in other sets . nothing new , I don’t know if you guys are aware that this Company was bought by Estee Lauder last year or 2 years ago and when Lauder buys you that’s it , no more creative control some times they buy Companies just so they go under like Ojon . I don’t see a great future for this Company , Iam hoarding the old sets I have since I know the new ones are iffy . There is a reason why Bobby Brown left the Lauder control as soon as she could .

   I don’t think of Gingerbread Extra Spicy as just being a festive palette, as the warmer-side-of-neutral shade selections make it a great all-rounder – the shades can be worn all year round and can be easily either dressed up or toned down to fit any occasion. I really enjoy this palette and will continue to use it regularly as the powders are so easy to work with, and I can tell that a lot of thought went into the colour selections for this palette; the shades are all very wearable, can be worn on all skin tones and they actually compliment each other nicely – every time I open the palette a handful of different colour combinations jumps to mind, so this won’t be a 5-minute wonder.

   The pigmentation of the shadows in this palette are very good on almost every shade and everything wears well on my drier skin – there is more kick-up then is usual for a Too Faced palette when I dip my brushes into the pans, but that is something that never really bothers me as long as the powders apply and perform well, which these do – the Too Faced tin shadow formulas are so much better when compared against any of Too Faced’s card packaged ones, so I wouldn’t bother looking at their other holiday sets when you can just get Gingerbread Extra Spicy instead. The gingerbread cookie fragrance in the shadows is mild and pleasant, so it not something that I’d think could be a downside to the product.

   The formulas are faultless, however I’m not 100% sold on the shade selection; the only shade I think of as an outright miss is the teal sparkle [Midnight Snack], as it just applies as a charcoal on me, and it is the shade that I don’t really think goes with the colour story as a whole. I also find that the gold & light bronze shimmer shades [Candy Queen & Half Baked] are pretty similar to each other once they’ve been applied, so they’ll just muddy together on the eyes.

   All in all; the formulas are great, the colour story is mostly very easy to wear and the packaging is adorable, so I definitely don’t regret picking it up. If you do buy it, then I don’t think you’ll regret it either, and I also think this would be lovely to give or receive as a gift. At first I’d thought that Gingerbread Extra Spicy was nice but wasn’t a must have, but every time ( I’m not exaggerating) I’ve worn this palette whilst out, strangers have come up to me to compliment my makeup, which has sold me withhow flattering the colour story must be – plus it shows that this colour story clearly has a wide-ranging appeal.
