Fabulous!! This is so durn cute AND yet fully functional. For $25 it is comparable to UD Naked 1 or 2 Basics. Not sure on net weight between the 2 but the Smashbox is very thin. I’m sure is prob smaller than the UD Basics thou.?It’s got a row of shimmery shades on the top & ur mattes are the bottom row. In a pinch u could make this useful as an eyeliner, brows AND e/s! So versatile. In here I’ve got virtually have all of the colors I need & I haven’t even hit pan on any colors, very little fall out. These are on par quality w any high end e/s like UD or MAC. I am really happy w this little palette. It’s very thin & portable. There is no applicator but buy a set of travel brushed that has a couple of e/s brushes & slant brush (for lining & brows) a lot of them have dual ended brushes in the sets so it’s like getting 8 brushes occupying same space as 4 from BH Cosmetics or Coastal Scents… I reach 4 this often. Winning!!

This palette is my first, even though it is a travel size- I just knew I wouldn’t use a full size one and I liked the natural shades and the convenient size so when I saw this at Sephora I decided to try it.
After playing around with it, I would say the matte shades are the best part of this palette, though I do find them slightly chalky. I have had good luck with them though and they blend quite nicely.
My problem with this palette is definitely in the shimmer shades. The shimmers do not show up at all, and are incredibly frustrating to use. I tried using them wet and dry, with and without primer, and they never worked. This is why I would not buy this again- I wish they worked better since the matte shades are so nice, and the palette so convenient.
Another minor problem I have is that once you close the palette entirely, it’s very difficult to get open again. You really have to stick your fingernails in the clasp and pry to get it open and it is very frustrating, which is why I never close it to the point where it snaps, though I guess this would be useful for travel so you know it won’t open in your bag.

This product was given to me as a birthday present, and I love it. At first it was hard for me to pick up any product when I first used it, but after the initial layers it was fine. This is a great travel palette, it’s small but brings eight color options. Great for a natural look eye look, you could even do a light smokey eye. I’d be careful not to drop this palette though, the casing is hard plastic and I could imagine these shadows would crumble.
