I wasn’t expecting much from this little palette based on the reviews here, but it surprised me. I got it on sale for about $1 Canadian, and I’d definitely consider it worth it.
I tested these shadows with swatches, and applied using brushes dampened with E.L.F. Mist and Set on primed lids.
First and foremost: The darkest shade is completely unusable, so if you’re buying it with the intent of using that particular color, pass on this one.
As for the other three shades, I was actually quite impressed. Though they are a bit powdery, they were very pigmented when applied, and blended very smoothly. Purple is my favorite color, and it’s also one that’s usually hard to do well in a shadow formula. With the exception of the deepest shade, this is an impressive formula. I’ve had much more expensive palettes that weren’t as easy to work with. For $1, you can’t go wrong!

The colours look pretty in the palette, but that’s the only good thing about it. Pigmentation is TERRIBLE, I get the faintest purple that I can only see if I look really closely. There’s also tons of fallout.
It’s only $2 on the E.L.F. website, but I still feel bad about throwing it away because, as I’ve said, the colours ARE pretty. I managed to salvage it using a white eyeshadow as a base (I used NYX’s jumbo eye pencil in “Milk”) and it looks waaaay better and definitely more usable that way. It’s even better using a primer.
Packaging is pretty basic, but I had to laugh at the mirror. It’s so tiny it’s basically useless.

Uh, no. I was super excited because the colors look gorgeous, but I cannot believe how much I had to apply to get it to even show up. And I had primer underneath. They are quite powdery, too- I had specks of the stuff on the top of my cheeks after applying. So bummed. At least it was only $2 bucks.

I’m not a fan at all. I’m pretty new at makeup, but I found it extremely chalky and the pigmentation is just wrong.
