I was given several Shany products for Christmas and they all were horrible. This palette looks fantastic when you first open it….but was nothing but chalk. I tried both light and dark combinations over a period of a few days. The colors do not show up and when you try and apply more it turns into a chalky mess. I have no idea why a company would even bother to make such a horrible product. ( I also got a lipstick box and another eye shadow palette from them, and they were horrible as well.)
I normally use NYX or Wet n Wild Color Icon eye shadows, will stick with them.

I bought the 188 color Matte palette and well, this stuff is HORRIBLE. It looks great in the package and all the colors look matte. Problem is, it is VERY chalky and all the colors came out looking the same with barely any pigmentation. I stuck my fingers in a few and they all came out looking like this white-ish chalky shiny color. Very weird. I have tried tons of eye shadow palettes and this has to be the worst I have ever used. Complete waste of money and the product does not work at all.

Great value for the money. There are two thin layers, making this box easy to take on a trip. Each shadow is about the size of a penny. Bolder colors are in the top layer, neutrals (pink/ mauvy / orangey browns are underneath). Some lighter shades may be chalky, but should look pretty OK with a primer.

I got the 40 brights palette.
My pros:
true to color in the pan
smooth application
layers nicely
My cons:
Chalky
stinks of powder smell
fades
doesn’t last all day
creases throughout the day

My boyfriend bought me a SHANY 88-color smoky eye palette as a gift. Prior to getting it, I mostly used Urban Decay eyeshadow. The SHANY palette has something for everyone – with so many colors there’s bound to be some that you love. The quality of the makeup is so-so. It shows up MUCH better with a primer, without one it tends to be pretty sheer. But now it has quickly become my go-to daily eye shadow. Whether I want a bright colorful eye or a dark smoky look, I can take my pick. Granted there are a few shades that I don’t think I’ll ever use…..I just don’t see myself in yellow eyeshadow. But all the neutrals, the blues and greens, and even the reds are very wearable on my skin tone. And since the makeup is pretty sheer, I can gradually build up the color and get multiple looks from the same shade. It’s not chalky at all and even though the colors are small, you get a lot of use from them. I still love my Urban Decay but comparing a $25 palette with nine shadows against a $15 palette with 88 shadows makes SHANY a tough bargain to beat. I like to use Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer with it and doing so makes the SHANY show up just as vividly as Urban Decay. With that one trick, nobody can tell the difference between expensive specialty makeup and a $15 palette from Amazon. It’s a great deal any you look at it.

it is a good product. it is pretty pigmented compare to other drugstore eye shadow, don’t get me wrong, it has a good quality but i just don’t feel using them, maybe because i am used to really really pigmented eye shadows but this one just didn’t reach my standards, i have other kind of shadow palette and those are better than this one, so yeah… i will still recommend this to my friends but i will not buy again…

has alot of choices and colors works well with heavy primer!

This eyeshadow palette is perfect for me. All I need is just a little eyeshadow primer. There are a lot of colors so I am happy- I needed a more inexpensive way to get all the colorfulness I wanted. I am sure there are eyeshadows that last longer ( though the shadow primer usually makes these last ) but this fits what I need. I admit I do not have much experience with eyeshadow so maybe I am clueless or naive but if so I guess it works for the beginner.
Also the packaging is super nice and when you open it all the colors look gorgeous. :)! With only 15 dollars for about 120 colors? you can’t beat that! I would recommend at least trying this , especially if you want to experiment with more colors but do not want to take the chance on more pricey palettes.

I had an Amazon gift card and decided to use it on this. I decided to try the neutral eye palette and received it within three days which is incredibly fast. It was wrapped with multiple layers of bubble wrap and comes in a sleek looking black case that has a decent sized mirror and two eyeshadow applicators. The eyeshadows themselves are on the small side, but are richly pigmented and have good staying power (I tried them without an eye primer). Some of the colors go on the lid looking very similar like some of the pinks and beiges but it is not a big deal breaker for me. The black was is a bit hard to use because it was the only shadow in the palette that happened to shatter and I had to carefully apply it to my eyelids with a stiffer eyeliner pencil to keep it from falling on my cheeks. There are a mixture of matte and shimmer shadows in the palette and they were easy to blend. Overall I am very happy that I decided to give this palette a chance. I now want to try the brighter shades next.

I was given the Shany eyeshadow Palette as a gift, so I am unaware of the price, but im sure it was inexpensive. The size of the eyeshadows in the palette are small but the quality was nice.
I also like the mix of shimmer and matte colors. The color payoff was great for most colors except a few of the pastels. I didn’t find any of the colors to be chalky or the shimmer colors to have much fall out.
