This is the best pale skin tone to set eye primer, and use to erase any discolouration. I’m NW15 and this is perfect. For highlighting dark corners, Blanc Type or Vanilla will also work, but they are too light and bright for an overall shade to set the primer.
It’s creamy, not chalky, and it’s a satin, not a flat matte so it sits well on my aging eyelids. It’s the PERFECT BASE shade. That colour you run out of in any palette. This is better than any of those.
The colour is a neutral creamy pale pale beige shade. Not too warm or cool, but completely neutral.
It’s a vital part of my travel kit of 6 which are Blanc Type for the highlights, Brule for the usual overall, Grain for a pale peachy satin wash if I want that for an overall. Wedge in the crease, Naked Lunch for the shimmer, and Charcoal Brown does my eyebrows and a great medium brown eyeliner with a faintly cool undertone.
This grouping and this basic base shade give me everything I want for an easy soft neutral eye look. If I want bold colours, I can take any other palette and these basics will give me the stuff I need to make anything else work.

Just a basic skintone color. I use this to blend out harshlines. Goes on invisible but does the job very well. Lovely satin nude color. Its the exact same as my skin color. i am nw20. This is my most used eyeshadow in my collection. I use this to fix anything i messed up on its a hg must have of all time.
Edit, May 2019, just bought another Brule. Still a staple alongside with Cork eyeshadow with Groundwork as a base.

Brule how I love thee! I put together a quad to dupe tom Ford’s cocoa mirage (Brun, brule, Swiss chocolate & wedge). This is my highlighter shade it’s satin not quite Matte but it’s a bit darker than my skin color. It’s an awesome highlight shade. I got it in the pro pan and snapped it into an empty 4 pan MAC compact. This is amazing I love it & will always rebuy. Super awesome!!!

I don’t really wear eyeshadow often, so I was just searching for an everyday single that matched my lids and perhaps concealed some of my lid discoloration. This does the job! The packaging is sleek. It matches my skin well, and brightens my eye area. But that’s just my skin tone. It has a nice pigment, and it’s not a garish peach that way too many neutrals of it’s kind are. It stays on all day, but removes easily.

I have fair skin, yellow/neutral undertone (NC20 Mac). This colour is great as a base and matches my skin colour perfectly. It’s a bit sheer also, which means that basically after application it’s practically invisible. Blends well. No problems with the product. The biggest cons are that this is a completely dupable shade, and the price ($26 for refill back at home).

Very disappointing as it’s very powdery and doesn’t show on my lids even when applied over lid primer.

I really love this shade sure it’s dupable but honestly I really love it. I use it everyday because it matches my skin perfectly as an all over lid shade. A little about me NW20,N1, NARS Monte Blan very cool undertones for reference. And this shadow works perfectly over primer. I use the Fergie primer and when I apply this over it, it gives me the easiest canvass to work on. It makes my e/s go on so smooth. Brule itself is such a beautiful, buttery shade that I would not go without as its a staple in my collection. I have a palette so I buy the single so it does save me some $$. Yes you can buy a similar shade for a lot less, but I really like this shade so much I’m not interested in a dupe. Great brow bone shade as well. Love! Recommended!

This was one of my first eyeshadow purchases when I was creating my 15 pan. This is my go to highlight shade. Its creamy and pigmented. I even like to use it as an all over lid shade for my natural looks. However I would not repurchase. Its seems like now ever palette comes with a creamy matte vanilla shade. I have hit pan on my brule but I have a minimum of four other similar shades to finish before I would even think of repurchasing.

Brule is good as a neutral wash of color all over the lids. It’s almost the same color of my NC35 skin tone. You can use this shade to set your eyeshadow primer or as a matte browbone highlight. Wet n Wild Brûlée is a dupe for Mac Brule.
I prefer Mac Blanc Type however as a matte brow bone highlight or a matte light shade to apply on the lids. To set the eyeshadow primer you can just use some loose transparent face powder instead of an eyeshadow.

I use this shadow every time I wear make up. Perfect base color for me.
