This is a beautiful brown that’s not too orange and not too grey. Has a nice warm gold sparkle that is visible to the naked eye rather than sticking to the brush. It shows up well on its own as a soft wash of colour, and can be intense over primer. I think people tend to forget the entire point of the eye enhancers line and immediately give it a bad rating because there isn’t enough pigment, even though the slogan for this product is to not “overshadow” your natural eyes, but rather “enhance” them, hence their name. I mean, for most of the singles you can just wear them over primer if you want more pigment. I’ve always loved the old packaging. Frosty swirls as opposed to the recent solid black. It’s cheap, its plastic, but the hinges have yet to fail me thus far.

Swiss Chocolate is a very pretty color (medium brown with gold shimmer), and it’s decent quality for a drugstore eyeshadow, but it’s just lacking in pigmentation. It’s great if you want just a subtle/sheer wash of a sparkly brown shade, but it’s very difficult to build up because it has a dry, powdery texture. The texture makes it difficult to get an intense look, or a look that requires very precise application.
I’d love to be able to find a similar shade that’s equally inexpensive, but with better color payoff. In the meantime, I won’t be repurchasing Swiss Chocolate.

This is a stunning eyeshadow for an everyday one shadow smokey eye look if you have light skin and blue or blue green eyes. The shadow is not as pigmented as say, the wet n wild trios, but more pigmented than a lot of CoverGirl’s other eyeshadows. It is a mid town brown with some subtle shimmer.
I like to pack it onto my lid, sometimes over top of a cream eyeshadow in a similar shade, and then work the same color into my crease with a crease brush, fading up towards the brow. Then I take a big fluffy crease brush and blend out the edges. I polish the look off with some dark brown eyeliner on the upper lashes and mascara.

Instant subtle smokey eye. This is great for pale skinned ladies such as myself who often find smokey eyes look too dramatic and also beginners.

This was one of the very first eyeshadows I ever bought! It’s a mid-tone warm brown with lots of gold glitter in it. It is not very pigmented, but it is easy to work with. It has lasted me for years and years. Great beginner eyeshadow, but you get what you pay for. It isn’t creamy but it’s not dry either. Just average.

Great price but I guess you get what you pay for! I heard this was a dupe for Macs Mulch. Yes it is kinda close but the color payoff is not great. Rather dull and messy. Yes, I could get 5 of these compared to one Mac Mulch but no thanks… Would rather pay more for my higher end shawdow!!!

This is a pretty bronzy shimmer shadow. The pigmentation is nice and the texture is buttery. When i apply this i do fin a lot of fallout even with a primer. I just don’t find myself reaching for this. I don’t regret it because it was like only three bucks.

I bought this e/s after reading it was a dupe for Urban Decay’s Buck e/s. Sadly, they are not very similar at all. Swiss Chocolate contains gold shimmer while Buck does not. It is very shimmery…too shimmery for my liking, but still usable.

Swiss Chocolate is a warm light/medium brown with gold sparkle/glitter in it. That isn’t as obvious from looking at the pan but once you swatch it you can see it and you can see it on your eye lid.
It isn’t a chunky glitter but it’s not a nice all over shimmer/satin finish.
It is not very pigmented but it is easy to work with.
I suggest even using the sponge applicator, the pointed end, to pack on the shadow. Sweeping it with a brush doesn’t work as well to getting the glitter to get on your lid. For a quick warm look I wear this alone over my lids [with a primer].
A drugstore dupe is Maybelline Cinnamon Spice Single. It is almost the same size and is easier to apply and more pigmented. It even has the gold sparkle to it but isn’t as large or sparse.

I have used this shadow practically everyday this summer even for weddings and special occasions. This is natural but pigmented so it is visible from my tan warm skin. it has some gold shimmer. It looks even better when applied wet, it becomes more intense and the gold shimmer can be seen complementing the shadow

This is my HG eye shadow. I wear this almost every day, and I never get tired of it. It has such a beautiful gold shimmer that doesn’t really transfer to my lid very well, but that’s okay because I am not a ‘glitter wearing’ type of person. But to me, it was the perfect balance of color and shine. This has awesome staying power! I can put it on in the morning and will last through the evening. It also lasts through a p90x work out (which is a big plus for me). This could be worn day or night and it matches almost everything. I will wear this forever!
