The formula of this shadow is pretty nice. It is softer then a lot of the other covergirl shadows and can be built up or blended out easily. My problem with it is that it looks more blue then gray on me. I was hoping for more of a true gray 🙁

I love Platina! It’s got tiny sparkles, sturdy but cute Covergirl packaging, & a great price ($2.50 or $3). I use it as an easy all-over lid color that’s smoky but soft. I love to top it off w/CG’s Pink Chiffon or Bedazzled Biscotti & CG’s Perfect Point Plus liner in Onyx. I’ve reviewed all 3 items on Makeup Alley. It’s a very versatile shade that I’m glad Covergirl still makes & hasn’t changed. I’ve reached for this shadow several times over the years & will continue to do so. I really like the included dual-ended sponge applicator enough to use it in a hurry & also purchase a la carte. Platina goes on smoothly & deposits rich color w/one sweep but I usually do 2. Blending out Platina is a breeze w/any tool & it lasts long over primer.

I love this shadow. It’s a lovely silver gray that works beautifully over gray eyeliner for when I do a smokey eye. Personally, I think gray looks softer and younger than using black if you’re over thirty, but a good gray can be hard to find. The pigment of this one is excellent. The texture is nice and smooth too. And you can’t beat the price. I think I paid less that $3 dollars for this shadow. The Cover Girl Eye Enhancers can be a little “hit & miss” sometimes, but this one is a winner.

Love love love this shade! Bought this on a whim due to a sale and also I’ve started getting into slate grey and blue shades. This is more of a grey silver blue and even though I have blue eyes the grey in this doesn’t lend to the matchy matchy look of blue shadow blue eye. I like to use this on the middle of the lid to the inner corner and use a copper shade on the outer corner and a copper gold in the crease. The Platina goes well with the copper/gold so well and will look great for summer. This shadow blends well and the pigment though it’s light it’s enough to brighten the lid so it’s perfect for that. Price is great and even better if it’s on sale. Will buy again!

This shade came as part of a collection of three that I bought, I really bought it for the other two shades so wasn’t really interested in this one.
I seriously love this shade its my FAVOURITE!!
Gorgeous gorgeous colour.
A lovely warm shade of gray with undertones of lavender. Very buildable can be as sheer or deep as you like depending on application.
Looks lovely just buffed on the lid during the daytime or applied wet for more depth at night.
There are sparkles but not overly so and they can be buffed out.
This would make a lovely smokey eye and very blendable with any shade you would like to apply it with.
This is definitley well worth purchasing.

I’ve bought four CG eye enhancers eyeshadows and this is the least pigmented of all but I noticed that if applied with my fingers or wet I get more color and it’s amazing then. It has some shimmer but it’s barely noticeable. It can be used for a daytime look (very sheer) or during the night (wet for a more intense look).

Wow this is such a gorgeous shimmery gray colour. There are tiny sparkles in it that sticks over a cream base, but of course under another base like too face to prevent creasing. I like to apply it with my finger because it picks up the sparkle better or you can dip your brush into it and tap it off. I got this for $3.50! This shadow is highly pigmented for drug store quality, try layering to get the true colour to show up.

I bought this looking for a replacement to a shimmery grey I use that came in a special edition Victoria’s Secret Heidi Klum set (Beautiful was the name of it) a couple years ago, and had THE hardest time finding a grey that was pretty close to it in color. FINALLY I ran across this shade after overlooking it many times before. This is a GREAT product!! Its gorgeous, its silky, goes on smooth, blends well and is very pigmented. I paid $3.44 for this at walmart, so its def. a steal!! I use this to create my smokey eye and it looks amazing. Ive gotten lots of compliments on it. AND I forgot to mention…I get practically NO creasing whatsoever when I use a primer 1st 🙂 P.S…it looks very nice if you use a mixing medium with this 😉

I’ve always been a fan of Covergirl eyeshadows and this one is no exception. When I bought this, I was actually hunting for a matte grey shadow, but was having trouble finding one that wasn’t expensive, so I went with this. At first, the shimmer made me sad, but I’ve been reaching for this more and more, so I suppose you could call it my current favorite? If you’re looking for a nice silver eyeshadow, try it.

I did a review on this before, but I’ve played with the color and find it to be in use frequently now.
Before, I applied it dry, and it didn’t show up or made my skin(Yellow toned) look odd. So, I applied it with a sticky base(cream eyeshadow in a beige color) and it just pops! I love paring this with either HiP’s loose ES in Fiery or in their shadow sticks in majestic, the maroon/velvet color. It’s a great color if you have a great base first.
