I bought the palette because the SA made a nice eye make up with it during I sat at the counter with mostly closed eyes. I remember that the SA was quite busy with bigger brushes at the end of that prozess. At home I was really excited to recreate that look. Well, in short, the pigments will perform their best if I used them with a damp brush. Otherwise I’ll got lots of petite crumbles under my eyes and in my eyes. And of course I then understood why one to clean the area around the eyes.
I use high end brand eye shadows all the time and never had such a nerve cracking experience with them before. I bought other by Terry products the same day and like them very much. If I would’ve bought only the nude palette I would said no more Bye Terry. BUT I returned the palette and am still eager to dive into her products. Mrs. Terry de Gunzburg is truly a brilliant innovative inventor in the make up industry!

These are so beautiful! Terry worked with YSL himself, especially with colour and this coolish palette shows her at her best I think. She does have a real eye for colour, and I love this because it is still nude but a little more interesting than some of the other palettes out there, and I can use every colour. That is the big bang for me, not shelling out on a palette with 2 or 3 favourites and the rest I can’t use. Everything is practical in this palette, it is beautifully curated. I don’t think I could have swallowed the price if I was only buying it for a couple of shades. I am more likely to run out of the light and transition colours first but I am using the whole thing. It is lovely to look at it and think, what am I going to do today, pink? apricot? copper? and know that they are tonally matched and so you can’t really make a mistake. You are free to play and they all seem to work together. I’ve been after a nude palette for a while and never felt quite satisfied with what I had, it never quite looked the way I wanted it to, till this. It is subtly different, better than many other nude palettes out there. Maybe it is because it is one of the few cooler toned, I’m not sure by Terry has nailed it with this one.
It comes in a very solid case (bright purple!) that has a satisfying click when you close it. I know that shouldn’t matter but it really does to me, clearly I am a child! Also, this is expensive, so you want it to be good! I’ve only given it 4 lippies because really I do wish this was cheaper, who wouldn’t?
The powders are soft and blendable and incredibly easy to wear. I’ve never really used a lot of eye shadow and always been a bit foxed by why one taupe can be soft and flattering and another makes me look dug up and reheated in a microwave. Well, this palette is very flattering, very useable and I’ve been surprised how versatile it is. I can get lots of completely different daytime, neutral looks – sometimes nude palettes can have colours that are not sufficiently different from each other, but this is not the issue here. The dark chocolate and charcoal are to die for, soft buttery and easy to use so you can get a lovely deep smoke easily. The whole thing is just a bit more grown up and sophisticated than many of the orangey warm palettes out there.
There is a little fallout, not much, but I am a bit kak-handed with shadow so don’t take that to heart. If you know what you are doing I don’t think you would have trouble. The brush is better than many out there, not brilliant, but you can definitely use it in a pinch, unlike the ridiculous sponge ones like Chanel use. It means you can use this on the run. I have older crepey eyes (sadly!) and the real joy is this shadow seems to stay put all day. I have a good primer, (TF) and it works. 8 hours on my slightly oily lids and still intact.
I have medium toned caucasian skin, neutral with grey hair if that helps. Have played with this on a friend with much deeper skin tone and she looked beautiful too. I have come to make up later in life, and the quality of this means I haven’t needed much skill to make it look like I know what I am doing.
I think this one is a winner. I feel like I have the perfect nude palette and my search is over. Just beautiful.

This eyeshadow palette is so divine!
I fist saw it on instagram and fell in love with the combination of colors, the matt and some satin shadows. It wouldn’t have mattered if you didn’t know what colors to put together on your eyes because you can’t go wrong with any combination.
They go on soft and silky and there is no fallout with exception of the soft black and dark brown colors and I think those two are meant to get wet. The color does last all day and the palette is for someone who prefer more of a natural look or polished look. You can do a dramatic look and I love to wear my false lashes with this palette.
I understand that in the past week, By Terry released another color palette that is more for warmer tone that would be nice to have when you want a more dramatic look for a change from this palette. I can’t wait to get it!!!
The packaging is so nice with a large mirror and I am happy with that also.
To compare this to Urban Decay BASIC palette, both are very nice but Basics has some fallout, which I didn’t like.

When I saw this palette, it was love at first sight. I have a large stash of eye shadows and was after some in one case that I could use every day for work. These colours are completely flattering and stay on all day. I don’t get any crease lines like I use to with my other brands by the end of the day. Highly, highly recommend!!

Not that I needed any new palette, my stash is more than I can ever use up. But, immediately when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. The colors are cool and neutral and they are slightly satin or matte. And so so beautiful. — I was so excited, when my palette arrived and not for one second do I wish I had not made this splurge. Because the colors are not only beautiful in the palette, they are wonderful and flattering (all of them!) on the eyelids and stay so the day. ‘You get what you pay for’ might not always be true, but in this case it definately is!

I love this palette – perfect for business trips – minimal shimmer and lots of color combos! Quality of the shadows is great as well. What you would expect from the brand.

I love this palette! The quality is excellent – very silky and the right amount of pigment. As a mature woman, I normally stay away from shimmer, but using a combo of the matte and shimmer shades, no crepiness and no garish looks because the colors are all so becoming and subtle. Although all the shades are supposed to work either wet or dry, I only use the two darkest shades, a chocolate and a very dark charcoal wet and with this method they work very well as liners. I have experimented with all the colors and was amazed that I could come up with several different looks.
99% of my eye shadow collection is singles because I am very fussy about getting the exact color I want. I must have a dozen medium taupes, trying to find the perfect one. But, I must say, I have deep like to euphoria for all of the shades. This is truly a palette I could take on vacation and not need any other eye shadow.
