This is a beautiful colour and the formula is very smooth and buttery. (some people will say it’s too smooth but I have no problems with it)
It reminds me of their Lorelei eyeshadow from their Aquatic collection released in the summer of 2014. Sweet Heat is more of a golden peachy shade and I love wearing it with Charlotte Tilbury’s Marie Antoinette cream eyeshadow. (I usually set cream eyeshadows with a powder shadow for extra staying power)
The pigment and staying power are great (primer helps of course) and it’s a very versatile, every day shadow.
It’s great as an all over lid colour if I’m going for the neutral eye and glam red lipstick look.
I have my eye on Havana.

Sweet Heat is an exact dupe of Superb skinfinish highlighter from the original Extra Dimension collection (2012). All from the Extra Dimension collection swatch beautifully on the hand but can be challenging to get the product onto the eyelid. Application with finger or brush in a patting or tapping motion (vs. sweep) worked best for me.

This is the eyeshadow I’ve been missing my entire life. I wear this as an all over color or just as a lid color with something else in the crease and outer v. I spray my brush with studio fix first. This shadow looks best and lasts forever when applied with a wet brush. I haven’t tried with water, but studio fix on the brush makes it last 12 hours for sure! No primer necessary. My eyelids are pale so the color shows up and brightens. I imagine this would look good on a wide range of skin tones, though.

A pretty, soft, peachy shade that gets everywhere when applying. I’m talking about fall out everywhere. Definitely not a repurchase and I wish I had known that this overly priced shadow had such poor quality. I will keep it since it’s a beautiful shade and so small that it won’t last long anyway. Trust me you do not want this shadow in your collection.

I absolutely love this eyeshadow! The formula is amazingly buttery and blends beautifully. I’m NC15 with light green eyes and naturally blonde hair. I love that it can wear it by itself all over my lid with some mascara to make my eyes look instantly bright and pretty. Mac calls it, “soft peach pink”. It’s similar to Jest/Naked Lunch/All That Glitters but Sweet Heat packs more of a punch and has a better texture than those. I like to wear MAC Buff blush (a soft muted pinkish peach matte) with Huggable lipstick in Soft Talkin’ (my HG lip right now, a glossy warm peachy nude that feels AMAZING on dry lips) or Melba (coral pink matte that’s not too pink or orange) with Huggable lipstick in Bare Hug (my other HG lippie that is “creamy soft peach/orange” and packs more color but still feels amazing).
I’ve also purchased Grand Galaxy from this collection and will review it separately but it just as buttery and beautiful. This formula is worth the few extra $$ vs. the regular MAC shadows and I will definitely be adding to my collection!
