If you like the shade you select, it’s a steal. I bought the color “Sheer Sands,” which I expected to be more beige, but on the skin it turned out to be a pretty good dupe of MAC’s All That Glitters and Urban Decay’s Steady. It’s a shimmering rose gold shade.
This retails for $7.98, significantly cheaper than MAC or Urban Decay.
The formula applies like a regular powder shadow, but it is really a gel-to-powder texture which is water-resistant. It does not rub off easily like traditional powder shadows, but is just as simple to use. I applied with MAC’s 239 brush. I do not need primer underneath this. It’s as if a powder shadow and an eye primer had a baby.
You need a good cleanser, preferably an emollient one, or an eye makeup remover to completely remove this, but for all-day wear, even at the beach, it seems worth the extra effort to take it off.
This was my first purchase of an Endless Wear Eye Color by Flower Beauty, so initially I was a bit surprised by the black thingamabob (stopper) protecting the shadow cake. I had to turn it slightly counterclockwise and pull it out. After holding the glass jar at different angles to photograph it for this review, the purpose of the black thingamabob became clear; the shadow cake can fall out of the glass jar if you’re not careful. Be cautious not to drop the cake onto the floor. Luckily I caught it before this happened.
This is only available at Wal-Mart stores or through the website. Wal-Mart isn’t my favorite place to shop, but I would buy another shade in this formula. There are no testers available and only a few shades, but they are pretty and the price is great. The glass jar is similar to ones Bobbi Brown uses.
Flower Beauty does not test on animals.
I have sensitive skin, and this feels comfortable on my eyelids. The colors are beautiful.
