I have this in “Glitter” which is a weird name, because it’s not glittery, it’s very a shimmery copper. The pigmentation is so good I can’t tell the difference whether I use it with or without primer. Love the color but I think I’m getting too old to wear these super shiny products.

Got 5 of these in a gift set with the eyeshadow brush. The shades are amazing and paired perfectly. They’re pigmented but staying power of some may be low. There is a lot of fall out. The brush is rough, so is useless. Overall a good buy.

I have SEVEN of these because they came in a gift set. Sadly, they don’t have names, so here goes. A light matte taupe paired w/ a SUPER glittery tan. A midtone warm purple with a bit of shimmer paired w/ a glitter pale pink. A deep matte purple paired w/ a deep brown green? Very hard to see color. A glittery teal- green w/ a glittery deep purple. These are exact color matches to E.L.F’s teal and purple Shimmer Eye Pencil. Deep matte navy blue w/ a medium slight-shimmer blue. A pure, matte black w/ a SUPER glittery silver. Finally, a deep charcoal grey w/ a SUPER glittery gold. Ok, I just LOVE these eyeshadows. E.L.F eyeshadows are my favorite because they’re cheap yet quality. I love all of these color combos and they go on great. They actually stay in place pretty well, even w/o a primer under. I will always buy their eyeshadow, it is so versatile and convenient. The packaging is great, with clear twist tops and white pallets. I can use them for anything!

I bought a packet that came with 5 eyeshadow duo’s or so, can’t really remember the price but I really like them =) I use a dark brown to fill in my eyebrows and it works so perfect! I might just have to get a lighter shade though since I’m planning on dying my hair, but these little duo’s are sooo amazing!! I highly reccomend them to anyone who wants to try different eyeshadow looks or who just wants to use them for their brows =)

I bought this product some time ago in Mocha Swirl and it’s only recently I’ve realised how much I’ve underrated it. The colours are a mid taupe and a very slightly rosy highlight. On the ELF website these look cool to the point of the lighter shade almost appearing lilac but don’t be fooled, these shades are absolutely neutral.
The finish is dewy, not frosted, and there is no glitter or sparkle. There is a very subtle shimmer in the highlight shade which is extremely flattering even on older skin. I would go as far as to say these are extremely classy everyday neutrals which could be used to pull off a subtle smokey eye. The taupe is definitely buildable. I find the highlight works perfectly on my cool pale complexion – if you were any paler than me it might disappear against your skin, any darker and you would get more of a pop. Colour payoff is reasonable and at least as good as many Revlon Colourstay shadows which are many times more expensive; in Mocha Swirl the shades are extremely wearable.
I do find that the colour fades after a couple of hours, but I do not wear primer and I believe this makes a big difference when it comes to ELF shadows. It fades evenly and does not smudge or become otherwise embarrassing, but you will probably want to freshen up the look halfway through the day. Upon application the colours are not exactly chalky but you do get fallout as the colour is not densely packed, so in the palate you’ll find they become a little dusty in texture. This doesn’t seem to affect colour payoff, though you’ll have to be prepared to build. I have not experienced any creasing or settling into lines, the only cons I can see are the slight fallout issue and lack of staying power.
Again I can’t emphasise enough how flattering Mocha Swirl is. Every gal needs a simple everyday neutral shadow palate that actually flatters and gives your eyes a bit of a pop, and in my opinion this one does that beautifully, at a price you’ll find hard to beat anywhere.

Mine does not have a name but it is a gorgeous peach and purple duo. It breaks a lot ( the shadows) but still worth the dollar for the pigmentation! Love and will re-purchase!

I got mine in Butter Pecan, thinking it would be great for a neutral eye. I swatched mine and I loved it! The swivel packaging was nice, good pigmentation and great for the price!

Overall Rating: 5/5
I have this in Mocha Swirl, and they are just absolutely lovely colors. They are velvety soft and slightly shimmery (NOT “sparkly”, just a bit shimmery). The colors do look nice together. So… yeah x)
Price: $1
Packaging: 5/5, screw on cap works well for me
Would I buy this again: Yes

I have this in black licorice. Out of all the ELF shadows I have tried, this is probably the best although that is not saying much. This is mediocre in general, but for the cheap price, it pretty good, which is why I rated it 3 stars. It’s no Urban Decay (or even NYX) but then again, it was only one dollar. The shadow is kind of sheer and when I tried to use the darker color and blend it out, it just got more and more sheer even though all I was doing was trying to blend away harsh lines. This duo is good for the price and might be cool to check out if you like smokey eyes like I do. But if you are looking for high quality shadow, look elsewhere.

I have heard positive things about these shadows so I picked up a couple. Why oh why did I even waste my $7? I could have saved it and put it toward a GOOD quality shadow. They crumble. There is no pigmentation. Just an all around disappointment. I won’t be wasting my money on these again. My daughter will be happy to have them in her play make-up collection though.
