I bought this in hopes that it would be a nice purple eyeshadow, but it comes across more brown on my lids unfortunately. It also is way too glittery and has so much fallout. Would not recommend at all.

I’ve reviewed the Starry Pink on the Starry Pink page, but this is for the rest of them.
The only standout amongst the colors is the Starry Pink and the most disappointing of them all is Plum Galaxy. This line is pretty hit or miss, and they appear to me to be only good for a top coat application of glitter on your lids or anywhere else you want it. The colors are a little deceiving, as they mostly don’t have pigmentation. The only one that was close to it was Starry Pink. That color is the only one that I would suggest; the others are a waste.

I bought this in Neptune Star and it was so beautiful in the container, but the color didn’t translate to my lids and the glitter got all over my face. I returned this to Ulta.

I was excited to try these eyeshadows as they are so glittery looking in the pan!
The colours I bought were Neptune star and night sky.
I applied it to my eyes and the Colour was completely different, I didn’t use any primer which I’ll definitely try next time but I was disappointed by the pigment of the eyeshadow and the glitter hardly showed up.
Revlon is the most expensive retail brand in Australia so these eyeshadows weren’t that cheap either.
I wish I’d bought only one, total waste of money.

Absolutely love this shadow in the light pink “Starry Night”. Just enough sparkle/glitter to make your eyes stand out but, not look over done. I agree with the reviewer who called this shade a “mature sparkle”. This shadow in “Starry Night” I use as an all over lid shade sometimes by itself or as a highlighter on the brow bone. I’m a brunette, with hazel/green eyes that have a blue ring around the iris and this is one of the best pinks for making my eyes “pop”. My husband always compliments my eyes when I’m wearing this shade. I love this, hopefully Revlon won’t ever d/c it.

I used this on top of revlon creme eyeshadow in the same colours and it was gorgeous. It stopped the creasing of the cream eyeshadow and gave the most shimmery effect. Love love love it!

I don’t usually go for glittery (sparkle yes, glitter no) eyeshadows, but I was looking for a plum shadow and spotted Plum Galaxy. It was too pretty in its packaging to resist. Too bad that doesn’t translate once you put it on. There is very little pigmentation to the plum color, and what little color you do see isn’t especially pretty or purple-y. Mostly what you see is a glitter bomb, and glitter fallout all over the rest of your face. The glitter is pretty, sure, but it is also a mess. The powder consistency is grainy and doesn’t stay put well, even with an eyeshadow primer. I can’t recommend this.

I was so disappointed in this shadow. I was expecting pretty plum color with a nice shimmer. What I got instead was a muddy brownish/purplish color & big chunks of glitter. I tried layering it with purple shadows to cut the brown effect, but it didn’t help much. It doesn’t matter anyway because the glitter is just sooo messy! The fallout is so bad with this! It gets all over my face. I tried using it wet to see if that would help, & it did but very minimally. Horrible. I would not repurchase nor would I recommend this!

Revlon has come up with some new eye shadows. Now out of the few they had, I was immediately attracted to Plum Galaxy. I have an affinity for purple eyeshadows and I thought this one would be another nice addition. Now granted, I did see that it has glitters hence the name “diamond lust” (more like diamond dust, to me). I already have some glitter eyeshadows in my arsenal, so I had to keep an open mind how this one will operate.When I used this eyeshadow, I have to admit I had some issues with it. First of all, this eyeshadow will not work ( to me) with just an eyeshadow primer. No my friend, YOU will need a sticky base like a cream eyeshadow or the la splash base. And if you to buy this eyeshadow with the sole purpose of just having a glittery eyeshadow. THINK again, because you are setting yourself up for disappointment. This eyeshadow will work best if you layer it with other eyeshadows. Using it on its own (unless you have a real sticky base) won’t cut it. The micro-glitters in blueish purple are beautiful, yes–BUT again you have to work it with a base. I really did not experience fall out, but the la splash did wonders on me on making sure the glitters adhered to my lids.So will I recommend this eyeshadow? It depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a glittery eyeshadow to layer other purple eyeshadows, then absolutely. It will enhance your eyeshadow by a bit. If you already have glitters like the ones its showing in the pictures, I would say then pass.
