I got this as a gift a couple of years ago as part of a set (had blush compact and four brushes). I still have it, since it takes a long time for me to use up eye shadow products. Compact contains a good sized mirror with two double-ended sponge applicators.
The eye shadow colours are pigmented without appearing TOO strong, and blend well. As there are 18 colours, there is a wide variety of selections – subtle or vibrant shades depending on the look you want. Colours do not have extreme staying power, but nonetheless, stay for at least a few hours before fading (I have oily skin and don’t use any primer, so it may differ from user to user).
However, there are a few colours I wish they would have swapped for ones that are completely different from what’s already on the palette – for example, Summer Linen and Sandbar Beige are barely distinguishable. I wish they would have substituted one of those shades for an indigo or a plum shade. But I don’t mind this too much, since there are some really stunning colours (like Amethyst Spark).
Overall, I definitely recommend this eye shadow compact.
