Like I don’t own enough palettes of shadows! Buttt…… I was perusing TJMaxxx makeup section – mostly for fragrance (I’d once found a ltd ed Angel which is 2nd fave to Shalimar… I took a chance on for real cheap and LOVED IT so TBH I was looking to see if they had more – no dice). Most of the nice HE makeup was next door at Ulta for almost the same price?!! Screw that! But then I saw this. I know nothing of the brand. It was $4,99 — for sears — and colors looked a’ite. Nothing like I had — lots of pinks and mauve colors. 15 colors. Cardboard. No mirror or brush. But $5?! Cmon I pee out $5 several x per day! And brushes I have so many I don’t even know about most of them and it is like I’m seeing them for the first time daily!
Being I’m so picky with shadows cuz at 40 I have oily lids, I look 1st for non-creasing colors I don’t alreadt have; also no fall out, lasting color, etc.
I only really like and use these (powder) shadows: in order urban decay, too faced, huda is a new great one, MAC, & nars. This Nicole Miller though competes with or is better than UD. I’d NEVERRR thought I’d be sayin that for a $5, 15 shade palette (mixed depths, finishes etc).
They are creamy dreamy don’t fall out don’t crease even when minimally primed blend like not all one color like a dream… and they last ALLLLL day. Since MAC black track betrayed me and sux now since it was ironically renamed pro longwear, I bring along Mac 208s angled liner brush and use the darkest shade to do top line. Blacktrack=Same as the popular paint pots of cream base ppl love and they crease on me — tried painterly both before and after they attached the name of pro longwear on it -> same & perfect color for pale NW13-20s). I wear usually UD primer potion. Anyway I’m attaching a pic of today’s look of pink (love pink – that & blue faves — blue I don’t love always on eyes unless mascara for some reason). Liner brow bone crease and the pretty bright pink all same: this. Nothing else. SIXTEEN HOURS LATER – no touch ups and just smidge of primer potion in crease prone spots (towards inner corner).
IT STAYED color BRIGHT – no fading or smudging- for 16 hours and counting!!! Not even the cat eye. I sweated cleaned napped. Colors used are: bottom left corner for brow bone, one to right for lid, matte 2 down for subtle crease, lower right corner (darkest) liner. See pic. I’m sure it was dc’d. It’s not even in the googlesphere.
