Beautiful complex colour, great for bringing out my green eyes. It is mid-tone grey with pink-purple shimmer, truly gorgeous. I wear it two ways: a light sweep over the lid which looks sheer. Or more product applied with a slightly damp small angled brush as a powder liner. I love this look. I would also confirm (as many reviewers mentioned) the company is really generous with the amount of product in the pot. Be carefully when openning, the powder is loose and very fine.

Yes! I love this eye shadow! The colour is amazing – a mix of dark, dirty silver and dark purple. I effing love it! It is very sultry, and when I blend pro-matte eye shadow Jet black on the outer corners on my lids I have a complete vixen look I am in LOVE with. It has this two-blend colour going on with it, like it is dark silver on one angle that you look at it and then turns dark purple on another angle. Worn with the primer it last all day, I kid you not ALL DAY – just as perfect as when you put it on in the morning.
I came across concrete minerals in a desperate search to find something that wasn’t MAC. I have had enough of MAC honestly, and whille they have some great high pigment eye shadows, you can’t buy any of their pro-makeup online and half the time when I trecked half way across the world to a “pro store” they had run out of every colour I wanted. Oh and the staff are rude and judgy, like they are doing you a favour for selling you a pot of their over priced chemical loaded crap. OVER IT! So I went online to the concrete minerals website and found all these amazing colours that even MAC didn’t sell. Also they are mineral based and dont have alot of the chemical crap in other eye shadows. AND the pigments ranged between $7-$8 (yeah I know, unbelievable). The eye base primer was $11. That was when I realised I had been ripped off MAJORLY by MAC for years when here in front of me was a product far superior – Concrete Minerals.
I emplore you to try these shadows if you truly have an appreciation and love for high pigment shadows, or heck if you just want to look like a sexy beast!

I could see this color as being well sought after with enough exposure.. Its a gorgeous dark dusty-ish silver purple. Its perfect if you want a nice lid color for a smokey eye! The quality is superb and you get quite a large amount in the jar. Think of MUFE’s star powders. Theyre the same size jars too, with a lot more product packed in.
I like to use this color over a dark base. I use it over MAC Sharkskin shadestick but any dark base would work.

Smut is such a beautiful dusty silver-lavender. It seriously has to be seen in person for you to see the full depth of color. The first time I swatched it on the back of my hand I just stared into the color for such a long time, I couldn’t get enough of it. The amount that you get is very generous which is nice and I doubt anyone would regret buying it.

I was very taken with Concrete Minerals when I first saw their Etsy page. They have coherent and informative information on their announcement, and their swatches and graphics are quite lovely and well planned. This is very obviously not something that was hurriedly slapped together. They took time to create their ‘look’ and they put serious thought into it. They also have a website that’s under construction, and the look of is very aesthetic as well.
I ordered 7 samples. The shipping seemed a wee bit slow, but still within an understandable time frame. I think the owner(s) are probably bogged down with orders right now because they’ve been mentioned on a couple well-trafficked blogs. Anyway, they arrived in neat sample baggies wrapped in pink tissue paper. The baggies had very nice labels on them listing all ingredients. I also got a freebie in addition to the 7 I ordered. The samples are 1/4 teaspoon, very generous and enough for many applications, because a little goes a long way.
Okay, the color: Smut. It’s a dusky plum color with tiny pink sparkles. You really have to see it in person, the swatch does it no justice. This is one of those colors that everyone should have because it would suit many skintones and it’s so incredibly foolproof. You can swipe this on quickly and boom; instant sexy smokey plum eye, no other shadows needed.
It goes without saying, but these shadows will last all day with a primer.
I think Concrete Minerals shows a lot of promise, and I look forward to seeing what else they come up with, and their website when it launches.
