My all time forever since I was a teen definition of 80’s blue eyeshadow favorite shade of eyeshadow eva.
As of the time of my review, Clinique calls this just “Lagoon” and it is a soft shimmer. Other than the obvious shrinking of the packaging and size of the pan, it still seems to be the same stuff. I guess… one pan of this literally lasts me a decade and I just recently obtained what is my 4th pan. My signature look is swiping Clinique’s french vanilla from lash to brow and then I use this only to line my eyes (with a flat brush) because I have blue eyes and any more than just a little looks all kinds of wrong. I never have any issues with it fading or shifting unless I rub my eyes. It’s pricey for an eyeshadow but I’ve yet to find the same shade that wears as well.

I have used this color for years. I was recently told that it was discontinued so I have been ordering from E-bay. This shad can be dark or light. Very blendable and workable. You can make it darker/lighter. If I can’t keep getting it on E-bay I will be disappointed.

This is a beautiful blue, true to the color name of Blue. Works GREAT with hazel, green or blue eyes. At 60 years of age, I’ve worn my fair share of eye color, and have my hands on just about every brand. This is a Matte and not shimmer. I’ve read many articles in the last year or so concerning this Clinique Lagoon Blue and I do know there were issues with earlier batches. I have experienced an issue. I don’t care how old you are -enjoy wearing color. Just know how to wear it well!

When I was younger Clinique was my brand. My mom used it and she’d always give me the GWPs in my middle school years. When she gave me this shadow, I knew I had fallen in love. Blue Lagoon is a beautiful light blue color that is very wearable. It can be applied sheerly, but when you add more the pigmentation is far more intense. I posted a picture of it with a deeper intensity. This shadow is what made me deeply love blue eye shadows. It reminds me of MAC’s e/s in Tilt except far more wearable. It’s soft, blendable and very appropriate for any event. I’ve bought this over and over again and will always come back to it.

A very wearable shade of blue. This shimmery lake blue with a silver tint blends like a dream. I love this combined with the silvery taupe shade from the Clinique’s plum seduction quad, and charcoal eyeliner. Lasts all day on me without fading or creasing, though I do use primer.

I wantet a blue eyeshadow, so I bought this, but it’s too lilac. It’s not very flattering, but ok during the summer. The formula is very nice and blendable, and with my shadow insurance underneath, it stays on all day long. Conclusion: The shadow is great, but the colour is not the best.

Very soft, buttery shadow. It’s super blendable- but the color looks just awful on me. (light-medium Asian). I feel like I look like a 1990’s ‘lady of the night’ so to speak. A light wash of the shadow is tolerable, but it’s just not a flattering color for me.

As others have said – this is a very wearable blue with a silver tint to it.
This can be applied boldly blue or subtly so. It blends nicely with grays and I’d highly recommend this to anyone who doesn’t normally wear blue eyeshadow but would like to. It’s generally not an overpowering, bright blue, and I wear this when I want to wear blue but have it be more subtle.
I received this as a GWP but will purchase when the sample is gone.

I love the color of this eyeshadow. But I must be allergic to smoething in cliniques shadows because I was burning and tearing after I put this on!

I got this as a freebie from Clinique but didn’t expect to use it really since I am not a big blue eyeshadow person. I decided to give it a whirl anyway and was surprised to find that it is not really that blue when applied and is almost more of a shimmery silver on my skin. It goes on pretty sheer which is nice, I guess you can build up the color but I just finger applied a little for a more subtle effect and that works for me. 🙂
