   This was limited edition from Winter 2016, but is still for sale at some online retailers so I don’t feel like writing a review is completely pointless.

   I like this palette. The browbone shade is perfect for me, the cranberry red is beautiful, and the last shade is nice too even though on the eyes it looks like a glittery black (whereas in the pan it looks like a glittery dark purple.)

   Lasting power is good, these shadows blend well, and I have no complaints about this little palette. I think it was like $4. Yeah, it could definitely be better quality, but for less than 5 bucks I’m totally happy with it. Have used this for everything from work looks, to party looks, to concert looks.

   I’m glad to have it in my collection and will use it until it’s gone, but if even if Wet n Wild put this palette back on the market I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s a good little eyeshadow palette, but not a staple or a must-have IMO.

   I wish I watched swatches on YouTube first before buying this 🙁 The colors in pan are not exactly what you get.

   Top shade: matte, cream shade. Very nice & buttery!
   Middle shade: looks like a beautiful burgundy but lacks a great amount of pigmentation, requiring a lot of buildup.
   Bottom shade: not purple! It’s actually black w red-purple specks of glitter.

   I was really excited to try this out when it launched back in the fall, but it was a fail for me. The black color is really muddy and hard to blend out. I use the Wet n Wild Photofocus Eye Primer beforehand and it just doesn’t blend! I love the cranberry shade in the middle though! I’m not a huge fan of the browbone shade because it doesn’t do much. Don’t waste your money cause there’s only one good shade in this trio.

   I think I’m developing trust issues w/ WnW. I have their Walking on Eggshells trio, which I like, but don’t find it that pigmented. So I thought it would be the same w/ this one. I thought to myself, doing my makeup on Christmas day, “hey try that cranberry n black trio from WnW, it will be festive.” Good googly-moogly! Velour Vixen is as pigmented as any of my HE shadows, excepting KvD. I blended n finally resorted to patting some highlighter over the black to calm it down because I was going to a friend’s house, not a nightclub. But yeah, my smoky eye was on point for Christmas, I guess? Anyway, I was definitely not expecting that much pigment at a $3 price point.

   I love Wet n Wild eyeshadows and have preferred them over many high end brands for years. However, this one disappointed me. The colors look better in the pan than on my eyes. They are muddy and not too pretty at all. I can’t seem to get this trio to work for me. Bummer.

   I went to four Walgreens before finding this palette. I wanted both this one and the Plaid to the Bone trio but this was all they had left in the display (along with tons of the colored mascaras.)

   I’m glad I got this one though, because it is the one out of the two that I’d want more. The shades are as follows: a matte cream shade (labelled browbone), a satin, almost metallic finish cranberry red (labelled crease), and a black with multicolored shimmer (labelled eyelid.) The matte cream shade is a dupe for the Wet n Wild Brulee eyeshadow single. The crease shade is the reason I bought this palette… it’s a gorgeous red. The eyelid shade in the pan appears to me to be an extremely dark purple. But swatched, it just looks black with loads of shimmer. I think the glitter particles may be predominantly purple, leading the black to appear dark purple? It’s pretty though.

   As far as staying power is concerned, I applied these in the morning with Too Faced Shadow Insurance underneath. By lunchtime I had some minimal dark fallout underneath my lid but I was able to clean it up easily and it doesn’t bother me.

   This palette comes with two little brushes… I guess what is supposed to be a blending brush, and then a sponge tip applicator. The sponge tip applicator I found useful in application for packing the black shade on the lid. I found that by swiping I was loosing much of the glitter (and the fact that I packed this on may also have attributed to the fallout I got… a different method of application could probably avoid fallout entirely.) The other brush is worthless though. I tried using it but it was so scratchy and uncomfortable on my eyelid that I’m just going to throw it away.

   This is my first Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette and I’m not disappointed! Will definitely pick up more limited edition trios that appeal to me and possibly a few from the permanent collection as well!

   This and its sister quad, Plaid to the Bone, are great quads. The pigmentation is your usual good Wet n Wild quality. (Ie Comfort Zone) They are both different enough from the regular lineup to purchase. Although a few shades look repetitive they are truly not. I put I would not repurchase but its due to the colors being so bold/dark. I am not comfortable in such strong colors. However if you are you need to track these down. They are worth seeking out.

   These are AMAZING shadows….I am at a loss to describe them. In many respects, they blow my high end palettes away. They are super creamy, and the colors are just so gosh darn beautiful! The cream and burgundy are luscious. My only slight dislike is that the blackish color with glitter. The glitter is going to blend away unless it is patted on with a fixative. Otherwise, buy this. Also, try the Plaid to the Bone. They pair very well together!

   After trying this one and Plaid to the Bone I wrote to Wet n Wild and ask them to consider making these permanent! ????
