I picked up the original trio at Dollar Tree, they also had “Silent Treatment”. I tried it this morning and I really like it! The texture is buttery and easy to blend. As a teen of the 80’s I don’t mind a shimmer in the crease.
It’s a good every day look and something I think I’ll go to for quite a while!
I took one lippie off for the ever annoying WnW packaging.
Get over to the Dollar Tree and score this great bargain!

I like this, but don’t love it. The shadows have a nice buttery texture & good color payoff. I love the lightest shade for my brow bone and inner eye corner. The pink is nice on the lid, nothing special. The brown is fine- but it’s all SO glittery. If the darker color was a satin or matte finish this would be 1000x better imo

While I am more of a “one and done” eyeshadow gal I have been really enjoying this quad/palette. It has only 4 shades (1 matte and 3 with a pearly shimmer finish) which is all I can handle before getting overwhelmed with choices.
The shades included are:
Transition – light/medium brown with warm, yellow undertones (matte)
Browbone – light beige with warm, yellow undertones
Crease – medium brown with warm undertones (my personal favorite in the quad)
Eyelid – light peachy pink with warm undertones
The shadows are all a little on the drier side, not overly powdery but definitely not as buttery smooth as my HG shade Nutty in their singles collection. Staying power is average, not great for the long haul but decent enough. I think we can all agree on the fact that the packaging is cheap; easy to snap the lid off plastic, but a b*tch to get open for the first time. I’m pretty sure this is how WnW keeps the price down on this product so it’s a trade off but not a total deal breaker. It wouldn’t be a repurchase for me but I’m not disappointed that I own it. Would give it 3.5 lippies but am downgrading to 3 for the packaging and overall performance of the shadows.

I know a lot of people really like this and I’m no high-end snob (there are plenty of WnW products I like) but this was not a winner for me. The shades seem like they would be great for a natural eye look or as compliments for blending or base with deeper shadows. However, the pigmentation and quality of the texture leave a lot to be desired. Even the darkest color in the set applies very lightly and the other three barely show at all. The formula feels chalky and dry. Other WnW shadows I’ve tried in the past have had much richer pigmentation and almost buttery formulas that would rival Urban Decay. However, Walking on Eggshells is a dud. It reminds me of eyeshadow you might get in a play makeup set for little girls.

For the price I can accept the fact that the brown shade is, in my opinion, an ugly brown that would suit few people. The other two are good , the pink particularly would suit anyone for an eye brightening effect. I mean nowadays for single eyeshadows people pay a LOT more- so even getting use out of only 1 or two colours is fine at this price.
If you have sensitive eyes, try one Wet n Wild palette to make sure that the boron nitride in it (which I assume is the culprit) does not hurt your eyes / skin.
For instance, the shimmers are fine for me, but their matte colours like Brulee, Panther, those ones are bad for my eyes. That is the only thing to keep in mind with these. Usually expensive brands’ eyeshadow- like Dior and Too Faced- dont bother my eyes and skin at ALL – the main reason I waste money on them compared to Wet n Wild— but even with those brands there are some offenders.

I’ve used this palette religiously for years. It’s like someone took all the best colors from the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette and condensed it into a small, easy-to-carry quad. The only negative about the palette is the fact that the lid breaks off EVERY TIME. I’m thinking it might be worth it to repress these shadows into a more sturdy pan. Other than the packaging though, it’s perfect.
Also, the best part about this palette is the fact that it has perfect dupes for two of my favorite high end eyeshadows-Urban Decay’s Sin and MAC’s vanilla pigment. A $40 value for only $2.99! How much better can you get?

I got this because ppl say this a dupe for MAC shroom , naked lunch and cork plus this was the most reviewed on Makeupalley. I cant believe how unbelievably small the pan is. Then again this was sooo dirt cheap!! This sat nicely on my lids form 9am-9pm with primer of course. This is very natural on looking on me . For ref Im NC 37. This is nice for travels and weekend getaways .. I cant see this pan quad lasting beyond 2 months for me ‘cos of the teeny-tiny pan. Buy if you`re travelling for vacay, this light weight baby is a must. The packaging is ok but this kind of plastic is prone to break. The price doesn’t break the bank and wait for a sale.Recommend? Yes, buy!

EDIT: I think my palette was just weird… Once I dug in pretty well into the palette, like really dug, the consistency got a lot better. There is still some pigment loss overall, but the end look is very flattering. I’ve been wearing this a lot and I’m happy with it. I have since repurchased and my new palette of this is fine- no digging required. I now feel it is comparable in quality to the old formula and I admit it- I was wrong 🙂
I have loved wet n wild for years. Walking on eggshells was my favourite trio. The shadows felt so high end- buttery, creamy, super pigmented and the pink shade was to die for. So flattering.
The quad is a great example of “if it ain’t broke, dont fix it”. I dont know if I got a bad batch or something… The new formula is very chalky, significantly less pigmented, and just disappointing. The transition shade is beautiful and I like the addition, but the other shades have been kind of ruined. With the trio I loved applying the pink and white shades with my fingers and it was effortless. With the new formula, I felt like I was digging and trying so hard to build up pigment.
The trio was amazing quality, I got tons of compliments on my eyes- a lot of people actually asked if i was using the urban decay naked palette. This new formula is just okay. If you work at it, you can build it up to be similar to the trio but it doesn’t have that reflective sheen. Overall it looks less rich and more dull.
Old formula pros:
– buttery, creamy consistency.
– strong colour pay off- very pigmented.
– the pink and white shades had a gorgeous reflective sheen that really made the eyes pop.
-quick, easy application.
New formula pros:
– transition shade is a nice addition
-a little less fall out than the original. Old packaging got a little messy.
– a little easier to blend than the original (but that may be because there is less pigment)

I bought this in the trio when it first came out and loved it. I found other palettes to play with over time and forgot about it. I ended up giving it to my teenage daughter. She has a significantly darker complexion than me, but this palette looks amazing on her as well. It brightens up the eyes, and doesn’t look like “too much” which is perfect because teenagers. 😉
I ended up buying the reformulated quad that includes a transition shade for myself. The quality is still great, and honestly, this combo doesn’t need a transition shade at all, but it is great quality, so I can use it with other shadow combos.
It’s cheap and the quality is great and it truly makes your eyes pop.

I love this little pallets for the pink alone. It just really brightens up blue green eyes. For a more intense look like when doing a cut crease I just apply concealer then pack it in amd it always turns out beautiful. It’s one of those eyeshadows every time I wear it someone complements my makeup. I also like to use the link and highlight as a cheek hilight. I didn’t know they had released a palette with a transition color, I’ll definitely be getting my hands in that! Love most things wet n wild, but their e/s is truly phenomenal for pigment and texture for the price!
