Muted eggplant that becomes almost a soft taupe when applied, in effect (colour is not as prominent as the shading effect). Similar to the purple in Nars Brousse but a bit lighter and easier to work with. nothing like MAC shale to which somebody here has compared it to (shale is also meant to be a ‘soft hazy’ effect but it is much lighter like a highlight- and this one is deeper).
Is meant to look soft not pigmented yet unlike some shadows of this type (eg Elizabeth arden) it lasts.
It also defines well or blends well- layers well too. Among my top makeup items.
I cannot explain how it is unless you try it. If it were being discontinued or was reformulated would buy a backup of this formulation, and go without other non-necessiyies for a couple of months to compensate.
I didn’t realize how good it was, I just knew I liked it, until my son’s therapist took some candid shots of me to use for his picture learning. The makeup looked really good but not overdone. It gave the ideal soft definition and the colour was still visible enough that it accented really well. It goes with many eye makeup colours and a bright lip won’t cheapen it either.

I got this as an extra in a swap (it’s a quad) so I don’t know how much this is. But I LOVE this color. It’s my favorite of the four. It’s a purplish plum color w/ pink sheen. Works awesomely in the crease.

This is a great neutral plum color. It works with several shadow combinations; I’ve never missed with snap. I can see this working for everyone. On me, it’s a straight cool plum color. It works great as a crease color or wet as an eyeliner. It has great staying power, and the shimmer is subtle, not over the top and it has absolutely NO glitter! This is a keeper. It is a little pricey, but a little goes a long way and lasts awhile.

A cool, plum shade that has taupe/brown undertones. Lancome calls it a shimmer, though I would describe it as more of a sheen. This works much better on my NW20 complexion than Click does. It’s an interesting color which I don’t use for daily wear (PPP), but I do like to blend it with New Black as a wet liner. Very versatile. Lancome’s shadows are really under rated IMO. They have wonderful, silky texture and are well pigmented. In the quads, they average about $10 each, which is a deal. Their black and gold compacts are elegant and user friendly.

Lancome has always had nice eyeshadows. You can’t go wrong with their quality. I gave their product a 4 because of the carcinogenic ingredients used to make it so. The Canadian government is yanking thousands of carcinogenic ingredients out of the makeup industry. For those of you who are interested in quality cleansers which are healthy, try the homemade salt scrubs and baking soda facial exfoliators.
Also, take a look at the article “Cancer & Cosmetics” before you plop down your money on these shadows — you may end up saving some money.

This is a very pretty taupe shade on my GGG skin, great finish and very smooth. To be honest I wouldn’t have given this a second look had it not been for the gwp factor, as I usually purchase MAC shadows/other shadows. It’s a great shade to check out if you are a taupe lover though IMO. It would suit a variety of skin tones, which is always a plus. more wearable than Satin taupe IMO.

I like this color. It looks great on my light asian skin. I can even wear it during daytime. It creates a semi smokey look. But i would not repurchase because there are better colors out there. I don’t really like the staying power of this shadow. it wears off after a few hours and creases.

I love this color, a mixture between plum/and mauve with shimmer…..i’m glad they redesigned the old container because they dome top would crack all the time. If you’re looking for the exact color and effect but less expensive..try MAC’s “Shale”

These are great shadows and Snap is no exception. A plummy/purply brown (a little cooler toned than Click) with great depth and subtle shimmer. Good lasting power on its own–add a base and wow. For me (cool toned fair skin) this is the perfect color for a night out. Great crease color.

Love this color! Snap is a shimmery taupe/plum color. Very sexy looking. This is my second Lancome e/s and I really like it. Blends nice and the color payoff is great. Would buy more! Don’t care for the packaging though, would rather have it packaged like MAC. I just don’t care for the rounded dome of eyeshadow.
