Got this as part of the 2014 Sephora Caviar Stick quartet of minis (other shades were Amethyst, Moonlight, and Cocoa). I love this – goes on smoothy, lasts all day, very creamy. I use this as a highlight under my eyebrow arch – perfect color.

After all the great reviews on these caviar sticks, I have to say I am a bit disappointed. There is no Laura Mercier counter where I live, so when I visited Tokyo I quickly snatched the Rose Gold caviar stick, thinking that pretty color swatched on my arm would be the same on my lids. It`s not bad, but it`s nothing to write home about either. I wasn`t expecting it to pop on my complexion since I am so fair, but it`s so mediocre, even when I build it up. As a highlight in the corner of my eyes, it looks nice initially, but becomes a tad cakey and as the day wears on. I much prefer the eyeshadow sticks in Bulletproof from Too Faced or from Ghosh. Those are more vibrant and last a lot longer without creasing or losing intensity.

It’s just so versatile! Got it as a sample in a Sephora Play box. The formula is creamy, it’s easy to blend, it’s a super flattering shade. Works well as an overall eye color or on the inner corners. I’ve also used it on my face as a highlighter and like it that way as well.

I haven’t used cream/stick eyeshadows in years, because my experience with them was dismal – creasing and disappearing being the two worst problems. I received this in my Play box and, at first, I was still hesitant because it has a very ‘slippery’ feel. Boy, was I surprised. It goes on smoothly (no dragging), blends easily, and lasts all day without creasing. This color is great in the inner corner of the eye and as a highlight, too.

I got a delux sample of this in my November 2016 Sephora play box. What can I say, I love it! I love it with an illuminating primer (I have Becca back lit but they used cover fx gives similar look) then topping it off w a baby pink lipgloss like 17 Sephora pin up pink gel lipgloss. Perf combo for made-up-no-makeup look. They are expensive at $29 for a stick and they will prob have a holiday set I’ll BOLO for. These are high quality eyeshadow sticks that don’t crease & can survive on their reputation alone. I knew when I opened this was gonna be something I wanted to purchase. I can’t afford the caudalie gel moisturizer nor the cover fx primer but I can recreate the look using the Sephora lipgloss & this e/s stick Stila Kitten is similar it’s an not easily duped color (I thought I had somem similar; I dont). Clinique bountiful beige stick is kind of similar but paler. Rose gold has more pink & is darker. So I can use it as eyeliner. I bought this caviar stick in rose gold + the Sephora lipgloss. I needed a quick pick-me-up today. #winning

I just got a sample of this in my Sephora Play box and I absolutely love it.
The rose gold shade is very gorgeous and works well with my pale skin, and I like the formula. It’s creamy and stayed in place well for a while but I did have creasing at end of day. To be fair, I didn’t use an eyeshadow primer the first time I tried it (too excited to try it when I received my Play box), but primer fixed my creasing issue the next time I used this shadow.
I haven’t used a cream eyeshadow in years because normally I find them hard to blend, but I had no problems with this one. I’m excited to try this one again, and I can see myself buying the full size product in the future.

Nice creamy texture going on, and the color is pretty, especially the hint of red that makes my blue eyes pop. However. I’m too old to wear shimmery eyeshadow. It highlighted the crepey-ness of my eye area and did me no favors. Looked scaly, like I had a skin disease. For a younger woman with smoother, more supple eye area skin, go for it.

A makeup artist applied this as a base for me recently when she did my makeup for a friend’s wedding. It looked really beautiful alone, but worked well as a base for other colors too. I was impressed with this multi-purpose product and will go buy it for myself asap.

If you’re new to Caviar Sticks, this is one of those colors everyone can wear from fair to deep skin tones. I love it for highlight under the brow or all over the lid. Like Bobbi Brown’s Cream Shadow Sticks, these wonderful little crayons are easy to apply and the light colors are nearly foolproof. They are retractable, so no sharpening. You have a few seconds to blend and smudge these, and only need your fingers to make them look good, and then once they set, they really do stay until you remove them at night. I use Gentle Makeup Remover from Paula’s Choice but any of the Micellar solutions will work, too. My Caviar Sticks don’t crease and don’t require eye primer beneath. I prefer Laura Mercier’s Rose Gold to Bobbi Brown’s comparable Golden Pink, mainly because Rose Gold is a bit more subtle and lighter and blends beautifully into the skin. In hot weather, this Caviar Stick has more longevity than any powder shadow. The color lasts and it doesn’t require touch-ups.

I really love this product. It is my first from the caviar sticks and I am more than impressed. The color is beautiful and pigmented, it lasts all day without a primer and helps the powder shadows layered over it stay in place as well. It works well alone or paired with additional shadows for a more complex look. It doesn’t dry out my lids or make them look crepey throughout the day. The price is high but the formula and beauty helps to cushion the blow. I highly recommend.
