My third Natasha Denona palette and it probably won’t be my last. A totally all neutral palette, with warm, cool and neutral shades. There are one or two that are very similar in colour, but the textures are different, so I will forgive. I love that there isn’t a really light off white shade as I have so many and every palette always has them. In her, instead there is a cream shade that on me, is deep enough to be a brilliant transition shade. I can use 4 different shades or more and they never muddy together, which can happen with other neutral palettes. The colours never fade. When I remove my eyeshadow at night, it looks like it did when I first applied it. Love it.

I’m guiltily admitting that I own a lot of other ND shadows. While I’ve objectively adored the formula, there’s not much occasion in my daily work life that calls for funky colors… so they’ve sat on the shelf. Yall can groan “ugh, another brown palette” at the sight of Biba, but let’s just be real that these are the most usable shades for your average office person.
I enjoy the selection of cool and warm tones in this palette as everything (except the greys, imo) is highly wearable. I also have a really easy time blending out the mid-tones to smooth sheerness when needed, because my fave looks are smokey eyes dialed down to daytime appropriateness. I despise when shadows are immediately mega pigmented yet do not allow for thin distribution (cough ABH)! The new cream to powder formula is especially great at controlled color application, they’re labeled as matte but look satiny and skin like on the lids – so gorgeous. The metallic shades are interesting, when applied with finger they impart great shine, when applied dry with a synthetic flat shader they almost give a crystal topper effect a la that 1 shade in TF/CT quads. I got fall out from the black when trying to use it as shadow liner, but mostly because I’m still learning to adjust my brush dip pressure to the softness of the pan.
This palette may not be revolutionary, but the formula is amazing and range of shades generous without going buck wild. If you’re a makeup beginner and wondering why your ABH shadow looks muddy or always too intense, try using a denser, more buildable formula like ND. You’ll be feeling like a pro MUA in no time with how much easier these shadows are to blend and build!

This is the best eyeshadow palette I have ever owned, not so much for the colors, but for the eyeshadow formula itself. I have hooded eyelids and have a difficult time getting anything to stay put no matter what combo of primer or base I use. But this palette doesn’t crease and the shimmers stay put and don’t fall out on me. It is sooo very expensive but I am finding in this case it is worth the $$$$$ just so I don’t feel like I need to do a face check multiple times a day. The colors also blend like a dream. It makes me want to go rob a bank so I can buy all of the rest of the eyeshadow palettes!

The quality of the shadows is amazing, none of my Anastasia, Laura Mercier, NARS shadows compare to how these look and perform on the eyes. However, the palette leans very warm toned. All the looks I’ve created with the brown shades look warm or reddish. The two light shimmery shades are also very similar to each other; not enough variety there. The two gray shades provided are not enough variety for a cool or neutral look. For me, it missing some neutral taupes or dusty mauves. If warm browns and reds are tour thing, you will love this palette.

I sold a kidney and bought this palette. Ha, just kidding, nobody would want my kidneys. In my personal opinion, Natasha Denona eyeshadows are the best on the market today. I have the Safari palette and I love it so of course I had to get the new Biba palette. Again, the colors are buttery, soft and easy to blend. They are in 3 different textures, metallic, creamy matte and creamy powder. The creamy powder color “Rayon” looks very dark in the pan but it’s very light when applied, as intended. They are all buildable without being patchy. I do like the Safari palette better, the colors are more interesting to me. Both palettes are sturdy hard plastic.
All this being said, I had a problem with Sephora employees when I tried to purchase. When I asked for the Natasha Denona Biba palette, they acted like I was from Mars and asking for human flesh to eat. I told them it said on the Sephora website that they had it in stock. “Oh, you mean the NEUTRAL palette but we don’t have it.” At that point, another employee walked by and said “yes we do, they are in the back.” Somebody went and got one and begrudgingly gave it to me, saying it was the last one in stock. According to the Sephora website, it was NOT the last one. I don’t know what their issue is but they did the same thing to someone else in a review that I read. Are they trying to hoard them for some reason? Maybe Sephora stores only get a limited number and the employees are trying to save them for themselves? I can’t figure it out. Point is, if you want one, check the website to see if they have them in stock and be prepared to argue.

I have owned several of Natasha Denona’s eyeshadow palettes but never really fell in love with them …. Natasha Denona’s quality is excellent but I would feel blah about the looks achieved (e.g. Safari {hated the formula and colors} and Gold Palette {boring and every eyeshadow look seemed the same.}) I saw Biba and was immediately drawn as neutrals work best on my brown eyes, and although this is a mostly warm palette, I find that the colors work great on my pale, cool-toned NW10 skin. My brown eyes truly pop with this palette ….. I love the formulation and in my opinion I find that Biba is the best palette yet. 15 shades for $129 seems very $$$ but I am loving this palette and it is well worth it for me, so much so, that I picked up a spare. The colors are mostly warm with the exception of a few and if you are drawn to warm neutrals, then this may be the palette for you. Update: 3/27/2019 I have to add that this palette has far surpassed my expectations …. this is my favorite palette ever. What I truly appreciate is that the eyeshadows all blend effortlessly and never appear muddy …. I have never had eyeshadows layer so perfectly in which each eyeshadow shows thru …. regardless which combinations I use, each eyeshadow blends like a dream.
