I got this as a gwp with Sunset Glow. At first I liked it, then the lovely bronzey brown faded leaving an oddly purple red bruised hue. Tried several different days. Same issue. I am a warm toned fair skinned redhead, between NC 15-20. I so wanted it to work because of the first glow it has when I put it on. Probably my skin oxidized it or something.
The Sunset Glow was fantastic, stayed true, so I bought a full size & been using it over a month and love it.
Test drive Black honey, b4 u buy. Get them to apply some and see if its still pretty after 6 hours or so. It turned on me at about 4 hours.
It might be the purple undertones, I always have trouble with purple, & if the browns fade leaving purple, I can’t wear them. So maybe its not oxidizing, its just fading.
I agree with the reviewer that found it patchy to apply. Me too. Texture is a little gritty compared to Sunset Glow which applied smooth, and feels soft and velvety.

I got this with Sunset Glow as a duo in a GWP. I had never paid much attention to Clinique’s eye shadows, but now I’d like to try more! It’s a medium brown with a rosy tone and just the slightest shimmer. I like to dust Sunset glow all over my lids, add a neutral transition shade to the crease, and put Black Honey in the outer corner. It doesn’t blend as easily as my shadows from UD or Inglot, but it will blend. This is great if you like neutral looks, and it’s perfect for work with Sunset Glow.

This is such a beautiful rosy brown colour. It’s my go to eyeshadow for the autumn. I wear it on its own with a little bit of black liner and it really brings out the colour of my brown eyes. I’ve seen this on other eye colours and it looks just as beautiful. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because it isn’t as blendable as I would like. But I’d still repurchase it in a heartbeat.
