This is a amazing primer! I’ve been using this for a few months now and my shadows look really good all day without creasing.
At first it looks like it will give some coverage but once blended out it turns clear. The applicator isn’t my favourite because it is hard and rough but it does the job. The tube is very simple but cute, I got this off of the website for 80 cents while it was on sale and will get it again

If anyone has read my other Reviews, Ya’ll know that I am a Huge Fan of ELF COSMETICS and how they amplified their game in the Make-up Community but Girls, this product is not good. I bought the color Sheer which has a slight Beige Tint. It comes in a Plastic Tube with a Doe Foot Applicator very Similar to Lipgloss. There is hardly any Product inside and very difficult to get on the Applicator. I have to keep dunking my brush in for Product. This did not perform as an Eye Primer at all and to me, it just played as a Foundation in a Small tube. This was my first ELF Failure for me. No Go for me, sad to say

I like elf’s eye primers. I’ve not had any issues with them and I own several of these but they all perform about the same. Stays put. No alteration of color saturation and lasts all day. I have this one in Champagne, and there is a slight but noticeable sparkle effect it leaves. I don’t know why but it happens every time I use it making it preferable for night time.

I bought this in sheer, and I like it. It makes eye shadow go on more smoothly and last longer. I dab it on with the wand and use my fingers to smooth it out. I think I paid between $1-$2 dollars for my tube at Meijer. Sometimes I use this alone to add a little emphasis on my eyes when I don’t want to wear eye shadow. I might try the pearl shade next. Just so you know, I have fairly dry eyelids. If you have oily eyelids, this might not hold for you. In that case I recommend Urban Decay eye shadow primer. However, if you only need a little help to keep your eye shadow looking fresh, e.l.f. is an excellent and affordable option.

I am on the fence with this one. It does work but sometimes it doesn’t. I think it all depends on what kind of eye makeup you have on. For the price you pay, the quantity is fine but it is very hard to get the product out of the little applicator. I wouldn’t recommend this to people with oily eyelids.

Price is $2.00 and it comes in 4 colors: Sheer, tan, pearl and coco.

This will be short, hated it. Thin, felt greasy, didn’t dry down well and it was kind of sheer and didn’t spread evenly. I got the sheer and white pearl. White pearl was worse than sheer. Too shimmery, thin and oily. It ruined my shadow application. A couple of times I had to start over, I tossed these in the trash. The price is so good but the product is really bad. They need to go back to the drawing board on their shadow primers This is really bad. Worse than using nothing. There are so many other drugstore primers that are good or decent line Milani’s. Granted they are not $2.00 but most of them at least work.

I got it in Sheer. It has a slightly whitening effect on the lids and is a little opaque. My skin tone is NC 20 (warm-neutral, fair) and it is lighter than my skin tone. On applying, it spreads easily. It doesn’t feel sticky. It dries on the lids quickly (<20-30 secs) and the tackiness completely disappears.
I applied my eyeshadows directly (without a base layer) onto 1 eye and it blended well. On my other eye, I applied a base eyeshadow layer followed by my eyelid shadows. The 1st eye had eyeshadow which was brighter and not diluted in color.
I noticed within a few hours that the eye where I applied the base layer ended up smudging badly. I had a racoon eye. The other eye (where I applied directly) did a lot better but it still smudged. Now I should mention I do have somewhat oily eyelids. But I don't have this problem when I use my anti ageing Urban Decay Primer Potion - it's very tacky and my shadows stick like glue regardless of the number of layers of shadows I use.
Tldr - lasts for short durations to brighten shadows; but will have smudging/transfer of shadows for oily eyelids. Cheap primer for ppl without oily lids. Not a dupe for UDPP.

This is a great and inexpensive product. I picked it up at Walmart after reading it was a dupe for Urban Decay Primer Potion. I also tried the UDPP and loved it too.
This primer has an opaque, light nude color which can be rubbed in sheer. I found it to hold onto my pressed eyeshadow for an evening out. The sponge applicator is fine but after I apply a drop, I use my finger to finish. It’s easily removed with a wipe or cleanser. A great product for a sweet bargain.

This is a good primer if you don’t have extremely oily lids. It will help keep your eyeshadow in place and help make blending easier and smoother.

It was okay for the price, but not even close to the high-end primers like Too faced in terms of wear. My eye shadows crease within a few hours with this. It’s better than no primer at all, though, so if you’re on a really tight budget give it a go.
