Someone mentioned this on the makeup board as being great for eyelid coverage (my eyelids are quite red/discolored), so I thought I’d give it a try. Wow! P Louise (P.Louise Makeup Academy) is a UK company that offers the widest range of eye shadow bases I’ve ever seen, and they come in a rainbow of colors (fleshtones as well as brights, metallics, etc.). I purchased this on eBay (from a US-based UK importer) in Shade 02, which looks very pink in the tube but became much closer to my NW 15-20 skintone when I applied it. (They offer skintone bases from nearly white to deep brown, so I think it would be impossible not to find a shade close to your skintone–or not, if you prefer.) The base comes in a tube with a screw-odd top and narrow dispensing tip, which makes it very easy to use. The product is creamy and applies very easily–but it is incredibly pigmented, so only a tiny amount is needed. Until now, only MAC Paint Pots gave me something close to full coverage (although they are much thicker, and that can accentuate eye imperfections as you age), and this surpasses even them. It dried down quickly, and I applied Chantecaille Sylvie cream shadow over it. It provided an incredibly smooth, beautiful, lasting (not even a hint of a crease) base that seemed to slightly intensify the color of the shadow and brighten my eye area (a real plus if you have deep-set eyes). It was very comfortable to wear–not at all drying–and came off easily with a biphasic remover. This is some good stuff, MUAers, whether you have eyelid issues you want to cover, want a very clean, “blank” base for shadow, or just need a good, long-lasting base. (The colored versions are impressive, though not my thing, so I can’t address them.) It costs about $13 USD for 0.5 oz, which is a bargain; however, you may (understandably) pay a bit more buying from a US seller. I can’t believe I’ve finally found a base that really obliterated my lid issues after so many years of using UDPP and other primers that are good, but don’t cover like this does. I will repurchase if I ever run out.

I’m so glad I bought this eye primer because it is actually the best! I’ve compared it with the regular concealer I use when priming my lids and oh gosh, the difference is tremendous. The P.Louise side is so much more pigmented and blended so seamlessly. It makes blending so much quicker as well, it really improves the quality of any eyeshadow you use! I tried this with the James Charles palette and holy moly, it gave the palette its fullest potential. The consistency is really thick and compared to most eye primers, this one has a full coverage. You don’t even have to set your lids with this one as it sets on its own plus it will adhere more product if you don’t set it, but worry not because your eyeshadow will blend just as easy and as quick, but much more pigmented. There’s also zero creasing! It will hide your veins and discoloration – it’s like a concealer but ten times better for priming your lids. A little goes a long the way as well so you would be having this product for a really long time. I’d rather buy this than Mac’s prolong wear paint pot because the P.Louise one is so much more affordable compared to how much product you get. £10 for a 15mL tube, that’s quite a lot. Yes the shipping is pricey (£10 from UK to Asia), but you’re still getting more than Mac’s paint pot and any other primers out there plus this performance is superb. This product is like magic, it is truly worth the hype and I recommend this to anyone who loves doing their eyeshadow especially the dramatic/colorful ones.

After searching makeup alley for reviews of the p louise base i found 0! As i love it so much i thought i would write a review my self. If your familiar with instagram MUA’s like p louise, or mmmmitchell, you will know how insanely pigmented there shadows are and well blended, which is all down to there technique of backwards blending paired with the p louise base.
Before i tell you my review of the product here is some info on the base that i found on the website ie. (ammount of product, ingredients and what the brand states the product does)
Product : 15ml

Price £10 (uk pounds) £5 delivery or $13.09 (us dollars) but it will cost you for shipping.
Ok so now we come to what the company sais this product does :
A luxurious creamy base to create the perfect blank canvas ready for ultimate colour popping creations. With its super thick consistency and ‘no cracking’ quality, the P.Louise Base is a must have product to have in your kit. Its full coverage formula helps to cancel out any unwanted brow hair and carve out those highly requested fleeky brows. Selecting a suitable base shade using online swatches can be tricky, so we have developed a ‘Shade Guide’ using a well recognised worldwide cosmetic brand to help.
All of the above i completely agree with, i use this base but tap it in with my flat brush and do not set, go straight in with shadows and they are 10X more pigmented and still easy to blend for £10 this is such a bargain and will last a long while but i will defintley repurchase.
It has changed my makeup game. Also shipping was quick and easy product arrived well packaged and bubble wrapped. Would 100% reccomend if you want your shadows to be poppin!!
