I have tried Urban Decay, Too Faced, etc., etc.,etc., and none of them have worked as well as Canmake. After reading the reviews, I went to Japantown in SF and found the Canmake cosmetics at Candy Doll. I think it was about $9.00 and it works great. I just wish the tube it comes in was a little bit thicker because when you squeeze the tube it stays indented. But I think it is the best eye primer.

This is definitely the best eyeshadow primer I’ve ever used and all for under $10?! Over the years, I went through tubes of Urban Decay, Smashbox, Nars, Two Face, pretty much anything you can find at Sephora and there was something slightly wrong with each: primer color showed up on my skin, took too long to dry, eyeshadow still didn’t stay put all day on my oily lids, etc. Canmake’s eyebase is invisible, easy to use, doesn’t irritate, and nothing budges on my eyes all day. Usually my eyeshadow disappears or moves around. I went hiking once and expected my liner and shadow to be a mess after but my eye makeup looked just as good after as when I started. It’s all you want in a primer.

This has been my go to for several months. Works great, doesn’t irritate my eyes, and cannot beat the price point! Highly recommend.

Hoarded this in japan lol. Product is a bit tacky kinda sticky-ish if you ask me but I dont mind I find it easier to spread out when a product is tacky lol. My eyeshadow and eyeliner stays put all day when I have this on. Always apply this with your finger and never with a brush because the heat of your fingers can help spread out set the product easily. I always apply this on my eye lid and bottom lashes to prevent any product from smudging and giving a “racoon-eye” look. Overall im super impressed with this product and will definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a cheap yet effective eye primer.

This is another HG product from Canmake. I love this brand`s stand in Japanese stores: it`s quite small, but it`s crammed with a whole bunch of nooks and crannies full of cosmetic goodies and limited edition stuff that I`m just dying to try. This primer is a water proof, multi-tasking one: you can use it for eye shadow, eye liner and eye brows to create a non-stray, waterproof base. It`s thick and dries and it`s best applied with fingers. A little goes a long way. It makes my eyeshadow and liner last for a good solid 10 hours without creasing or transfer, and I have pretty oily lids. It`s so cheap, about 6 bucks and I would buy this over UD any day. Can be easily removed with an oil cleanser.

Comes in a cute little tube. I purchased in Japan for around 600 yen. It is very sticky, but makeup does not run at all with this product, even with products that tend to run. It doesn’t necessarily create a “whiter” base, but more of a smoother base and is sticky to help eye make up “stick” to your eyelids and avoid makeup smearing. Therefore, it creates more bold color with eye makeup. “WP” stands for waterproof. Was also fairly easy to remove with eye makeup remover and cotton pads.
Be forewarned, however, that the slightly sticky consistency makes it a tad more difficult to remove than regular makeup (don’t expect to simply wash out with water), but it is very easy to remove relative to other waterproof products (esp Japanese waterproof eye products which are notoriously different to remove).
