I have tried Urban Decay Primer Potion, a Smashbox eye primer, and misc. drugstore brands and this is by far my favorite. I do not have to use a mac paint pot when I use this primer and it makes my eye shadow last all day. Would highly recommend this over any of the high end primers.

Ooh, Take on the Day eye shadow primer is awesome! I love the sleek silver & black packaging w/ narrow nozzle. It dispenses product w/ minimal pressure. I like how the cap screws on securely, too. The primer itself is thick but easy to spread w/my finger. It can be built up if I want to use it as eye shadow b/c it’s lovely rose gold hue. I think it adds rich dimension to my everyday eye shadows. Seriously, I get more compliments when using this primer than my others. My others include the original formula of Take on the Day & ELF’s Primer & Liner Sealer Duo. I like how Take on the Day Shimmer has a lot of eyelid coverage compared to the other 2. All my discoloration & freckles are concealed using it. ELF’s coverage is good, too but it doesn’t add the velvety texture Wet ‘n’ Wild’s does. The price of $2.50 makes it a steal! It’s comparable to ElF’s $3 price for the Duo. I don’t have oily eyelids even though my other facial skin is oily not dry or “normal”. But w/this primer my shadows last all day w/no creasing or fading. I can still blend my shadows out w/it on, too. I think it helps my pencil liners hold on, as well as the “liner” looks I create w/the ELF Liner Sealer & Primer Duo. I am still on my 1st tube I purchased over the summer & have a few back-ups on hand. I am blown away by the quality of this primer!

This is a very decent eyeshadow primer, though I think I’ll get a more nude version next time as I don’t wear shimmery e/s everyday. This has great staying power, blends in well, and doesn’t seem to slip on the eyes at all. My only gripe is the tube it came in- it felt only about half full and that means a lot of space for air to dry it out. Since my last primer potion separated I’ve found it hard to spend that kind of money on primer and this is a good replacement.
Pros: Keeps e/s on, blends in well, has a nice sheen all by itself, you don’t need to use much and it lasts a long time. You can buy each of the formulas of the Fergie primer for less than the cost of one UDPP- no complaints here.
Cons: My tube came half empty (just like their newest face primer), this is slightly greyer than expected but under e/s it doesn’t matter.
*edit* Just wanted to add that it definitely did not dry out- it turned into a liquid! Unlike UDPP though, it did not separate and was still usable as a liquid.

I found this on clearance at Walgreen’s for $2.50 so I gave it a shot. I usually us Milani’s with good results, but I always wanted to try one with a shimmer so I went for it. It was a little hard to get out of the tube, but once I did I liked the color, consistancy and overall results. Lasted all day and I have oily lids. This was also not too much shimmer for my 46 year old eyes. Feeling foxy all day with this primer!

I love this primer just as much as the original Fergie primer! It works just as well and has a luminous rosey pink tint to it. Like the original you need to let it set before you apply your shadows but it holds just like the regular one. I personally like to use this with just eyeliner. I apply, let set, and any liner I use does not budge or transfer. What annoys me with my eyes is when I apply liner and it transfers to my crease. Not with this primer it keeps it on my lash line which, really makes me happy. The Rose shade gives my eyes some life and it’s great for minimal makeup.
It lasts all day till I remove it and I love the shade of it. It goes well with my green eyes. The Pinky shade totally makes my eyes look more alive. They say pinks help with tired eyes and in my case it totally helps. It’s not the exact same shade as UD’s sin but is a dupe in my eyes because it works just as well. It’s not overly shimmery for me either. Lasts all day and works great with my Naked3 palette so I really like it. It holds just as well as the original which I have backups of. I seriously love these primers and hope they are never discontinued! Best DS primer and my personal favorite hands down and I own every eye primer you can think of. This product really works! Totally Recommended!

It is not an exact dupe for UD Sin, but it is much cheaper and definitely worth checking out. There is just the right amount of shimmer.

The Fergie “Shimmer” eye shadow primer was on sale at Walgreens for $3.74. I am 60yrs old, my lids aren’t dry, but they are crinkly. Shimmer just made the crinkles more vivid. It went on well and felt good on my lids. If I had young smooth lids, I would probably love this. Definitely for the young.

This stuff is amazing!! I thought whynot it’s only $5.00… Best $5.00 I’ve spent all month lol. This stuff doesn’t budge and looks amazing under eyeshadows. I will never buy another urban decay primer again. If they ever discontinue this, I will have to go out and buy up all the tubes I can find. Not kidding… It’s THAT good!

I’m seriously going to buy a back-up of this! I just could not pay $20 for UD Sin, even though I’ve loved and used up my sample. I use the regular Take on the Day, so I thought I’d try the shimmer but didn’t have high hopes. I swatched both on my hand and couldn’t believe how close they are! This one is a bit less shimmery, which is good! I thought Sin was a bit more brownish, but not on the lids. This is a great primer or shadow on it’s own.
