Love and adore it. I have very dry eyelids and while most of you can use any primer, most of them will make my lids look ever drier. This is amazing. Creamy but it stays and it is spf20. Only trouble is the packaging; it makes you waste so much product. I really wish Benefit will change it into something more clever soon enough. Do buy this if you struggle with desert dry eyelids .

I was really pleasantly surprised by this because I hated benefits original primer and usually use Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I would say the texture is a bit creamier than Too Faced or Nars, but much less thick and pasty than Urban Decay or Make Up For Ever. It feels cooling on the eyelids, which I love personally. It is easy to blend on top of, is tinted and keeps eyeshadow on very well.
I find this primer does not cover the very visible blue veins on my eyelids however. The yellow tint does mask it, fairly well for the sheer nature of this product. I do find it’s kinda ridiculously priced compared to other eyeshadow primers and doesn’t do anything exceptional. It’s fairly standard, apparently it has SPF but the Too Faced primer had the same sun blocking ingredients and I like it better.
I find the packaging in the twist up pen absolutely useless. It’s impossible to get just the right amount, even with the lid on the primer dries up inside the long silicone tip of the pen. It builds up, is impossible to use and you waste product with literally every application. It’s bulkier packaging, I think it’s a bit ugly if I were to be frank.
For what it’s worth it’s a nice primer that I enjoy the texture of. It hasn’t aggravated my very sensitive eyes and it does help mask my ugly veiny eyelids. It’s easy to blend over, and wears very well. But due to the price, and mostly the bulky and wasteful packaging, I wouldn’t repurchase. I feel it’s very comparable to what’s already on the market at better price points. But I like the product.

Bought this as I love Stay Don’t Stray. Big mistake.
I love that this has an SPF 20, which was one of my main reasons for purchasing. The colour is also ok on me as I have fair skin. At first go, it works fine. Nice light consistency (lighter than SDS), and covers well. Does not irritate my skin and makeup applies nicely over the top. However my eyelids were crease crease crease by the end of the day. I do not have oily lids at all, I use a primer mostly for colour intensity. This was rubbish.
The bit I really hate though? The packaging. It comes out of a strange rubbery finger, but twisting up the product gives no control over how much emerges. It seems to keep coming after only one or two clicks.
And woe betide the person who doesn’t use every tiny scrap of product once its pumped up. The lid does not keep everything wet – next time you use it you will be left with a gloopy, half dried mess which needs to be removed before you can twist up new product.
This is going in the bin, and I will be going back to Stay Don’t Stray.

I was initially impressed with Air Patrol for its ability to completely cover my red, veiny lids with just a tiny amount of product, but soon realized it just doesn’t have the staying power of my tried and true primer, Urban Decay Primer Potion. One particularly humid morning I arrived at work only to realize that my shadow was totally gone – not creased, but literally completely worn off. I have a very short commute (15 minute walk) so naturally I was not happy that this product couldn’t hold up even for an hour. I had better results in colder weather, but my shadow still didn’t last nearly as long as it does with the Urban Decay. If you’re only wearing shadow for a short amount of time, need to cover up any lid discoloration and don’t have oily lids to begin with, Air Patrol is a decent product. But if you need something that lasts, forget it.

I don’t like this primer at all and will not repurchase. The packing is too gimmicky and the product does not live up to the hype. I was able to get two blister pack samples, and a sample from Sephora. I have extremely oily eyelids, and need a primer for my shadows to stay put and not do touch ups. My eye shadow stays in place slightly longer than if I had no primer at all, which translates to about four hours. I have tried this with drugstore and high end shadows, and the result is the same, four hours of wear, barely. Urban Decay, Too Faced, Wet n Wild, Hard Candy and ELF primers all lasted longer than this. For the price I was expecting better.

I have to say, I really like this primer! I saw a couple of blogger (shocking, I know) using it and needed a new primer anyways and since I love trying out new products since I can just return it anyways, I thought why not. First off I love the yellow tint to it because my lids are slightly red. The rubber tip was kinda weird at first, but now I like it. I use two or three clicks for BOTH eyes, not each. I spread it out with the applicator and then use my finger to smooth it out. I think the issue people are having with creasing is coming from not setting it with a translucent powder. This is key and has really helped the staying power. My eye shadow has stayed in place and been really smooth since.

This is the most effective eye primer I have ever used and I have tried many. Don’t understand the negative reviews. It does what it is supposed to and that is keep eyeshadow from melting away and provides a smooth finish with no creasing and helps concealing the wrinkles . I have oily eyelids and using this and my Eyeliner does not stray either. Nice neutral shade to wear under shadows and did not cause irritation as many have.i have tried following brands Urban Decay,bare minerals, Trish Mcevoy, Bobbi brown , too faced , none hold a candle to Benefit Air Patrol! TIP when you twist to get the product out you don’t need much and you can reverse the direction of your turn and the product will go back in. An Ulta rep told me this trick. That being said there is always some product that is left and it dries and you have to wipe it off before the next application.

I’m not sure what this product is but I can tell you what it isn’t – an eye primer! My eye shadow creased so badly I think it would have been better if I’d not even bothered applying it. And the tip grosses me out! Its nice that it has an SPF but that will not excuse the fact that it does not do what it claims. Avoid this primer!

I really wanted to like this primer, but it seemed to do the opposite of what a primer should do on my eyelids. The product is quite a bit tackier than other eyelid primers that work for me (think e.l.f. or Urban Decay) and is tough to spread evenly around my eye area. The color-correcting aspect works well to “color correct” my eyelid color, but if I’m applying eyeshadow over it, I’m not sure it matters much. As far as prolonging the wear of my eyeshadow, though, this did nothing. Eyeshadow doesn’t normally crease on my eyelids without primer, but with this stuff it creased probably four out of every five times I used it.
