I have dandruff on my eyebrows, and generally have sensitive eyes. But for the last 3-4 years my left eye has been giving some extra trouble. 4 years ago I had a little stye on my lower eyelid. Although I made hot compresses and used an antibiotic eye cream it took MONTHS for it to go away. Two years ago I got another stye this time on my upper eyelid on the same eye, and it turned into a chalazion that still stays two years later. Doctor says it will probably not go away on its own and needs to be surgically removed. Being scared of the procedure I still desperately look for natural remedies. I have found on the internet the most popular remedy suggestions for chalazion are castor oil, tea tree oil, and frankincense oil. And washing eyes.
While my chalazion insists on staying, I get dandruff-like things and dead skin on the bottom of that eyelid, also puffiness on both the upper and lower eyelid. While the doctor did not use the word to me, I think it’s chronic inflammation of the eyelid called Blepharitis.
I found this product while I was looking for something to wash my eyes with. Baby shampoo is recommended and safe but I thought I could find something better. This product has the cleansing ingredients of baby shampoo, but also organic tea tree oil (three in the ingredients list, so not in a small amount), chamomile extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Wheat Extract, Vitamin E, Thermal Water. It’s advertised as “Eyelids, Eyebrows, and Eyelashes Hygiene”.
This is my third day of using it day and night, so far I absolutely loved it. The itchiness is gone. Dandruffs are gone both on my eyebrows and eyelids. It did not make my eye area get drier like all baby shampoos did. From some other users of the product I heard it also cleans eye make-up well. After I purchased it I learned the same company has another eye shampoo called TTO Blefaritto, which is said to be better for Blepharitis. But so far I’m happy with mine.
I don’t know if you can find it at where you live or purchase online, but I bought it in Turkey. If you visit Turkey I suggest getting one (it’s very cheap for its quality, only about $4), if not maybe you can find something with similar ingredients somewhere else.
