My mascara is non-waterproof, previously, it was quite difficult and messy to get the mascara off when I used a wet cotton pad to remove. I usually lose like 1-2 lashes in the removal process. Now, with the remover, it was less messy, less tissues/cotton pads used, less time also!
Although slightly expensive for a remover, but worth every penny as my mascara flakes don’t get into my eyes as I m rubbing off the mascara. None of my eyelash actually fell out OMG!
I purchased the deluxe size product, small and great for travelling too! Love Love Love the design and sleekness of the tube!

i got this as a free sample and it works well at removing waterproof mascara. however, it smells weird, and my coconut oil does just as good of a job for a fraction of the cost. i wouldnt purchase this or recommend anyone to purchase this, itd be a waste of money

I don’t have a need for this product so it is hard to rate. When I did use it It seems like a mess and hard to use.

I got this as part of a Too Faced kit. I wouldn’t have ever thought to purchase this on it’s own and never really saw a need for it until I smudged mascara on my eyelid and couldn’t get it off by rubbing with a q-tip or dry spoolie. It was the Pixi Lower Lash Mascara that I used as a quick coat on my upper lashes one weekend when in a rush. Nice to see that mascara wears like iron! Anyway, I thought, perfect time to test this out and I dabbed a little on the smudge (which looked baked on, lol) and it melted it on contact. I was able to easily rub off the mascara. It’s actually quite an ingenious product if you think about it. We apply mascara to the front of our lashes and then close our eyes to apply remover to the tops which really just smears the mascara along our sensitive area. This is applied exactly like mascara, to the same location and it really does melt off mascara. This isn’t a typical spoolie, it’s a solid coil shape (no bristles) but very effective for coating the lashes. I feel foolish now knowing I could have just used a clean spoolie dipped in cleansing oil to do the same thing all these years! I probably won’t repurchase and instead will use a clean spoolie to do this from now on when I have a particularly stubborn mascara to remove. Way to go Too Faced!

Not sure what I was thinking when I purchased this. Its very unhygienic and the oil smelled rancid not very long afterwards. I will not repurchase.

I got this product as a bonus sample. I used Almay remover pads previously , because I will always use a cheaper product, all things being equal. I LOVE this. I wear waterproof mascara occasionally, which is VERY difficult to remove. This product literally melted it off. I was in shock. Not irritation, no mess. I hate the price, but for me, it’s my holy grail remover for waterproof mascara. With every penny.

I was surprised by the low score for this product. Perhaps others have higher expectations than I. All I wanted was something to help me get rid of mascara without requiring I torture my eyelids and the skin around my eyes. Seriously, my cleansing water does its thing but I often have to rub vigorously and at my age I can’t afford to remind that area it’s time to wrinkle or those precious little hairs that they can fall out.
I ordered a sample of Mascara Melt Off with my Sephora points and as I waited for it to arrive I practiced with a clean mascara wand and oil to remove my mascara. This did soften the mascara enough for the cleansing water to have less work to do. I worried about cloudy vision and getting oil in my eyes every night but, still, I considered the experiment a success. When the Melt Off arrived I used it that very night and, lo and behold, it’s thin and kinda…soapy? For once I followed directions and applied it to my lashes, waited for as long as my patience lasted (less than a full minute…I have attention issues) and it actually worked. Now, here’s the thing: I don’t pile on the mascara. I just don’t but I do apply two or three coats and they all came sliding neatly off onto my cotton square. I did the rest of my nightly cleansing routine and the next morning there were still no traces of mascara. Still , I waited before checking Sephora and MakeupAlley reviews because I didn’t want to be swayed and can say absolutely that, yep, this works for me.
Whether I buy the full size and break my rule about products which can only be obtained from one source and which are stupidly expensive remains to be seen. I’m over being bound by exclusivity. However, I DO prefer it to plain oil but it could be that I just haven’t discovered the correct oil combo. I’ve got some Crunchy Betty OCM oil coming…maybe that’ll work. If it doesn’t then I may sigh, protest, grumble and buy it while I continue my search for either a homemade or cheaper drugstore version.

I got this in my Sephora play box and my first thought was positive. However, if you are anything like me when it’s time to take my makeup off I want to take it off, do my skin routine and put my pajamas on. I do not want to “apply” a mascara remover as if I’m doing my makeup. And then wait!? Nope. I tried it several times and nothing much happened. I ended up finally trying to dump product out of the tube onto my fingers. Nope. Not much comes out. Fourth day I ended up bypassing this and went straight to my standby. I’m glad I got to try this product as it does look intriguing. It was a big fail for me however.

Got this as one of the samples in my Sephora play box. I was pleasantly surprised on how well this product breaks down mascara. The wand is bristle free, just coat lashes with the product and wait at least 30 seconds. Really helps quickly remove mascara. I have not tried it with waterproof formula, but works well on the current mascaras I use (Benefit and It cosmetics). However I don’t think it works any better than a good old oil cleanser. I would not repurchase, but would use it if it was a free gift.

If you want to spend $30 on something pretty much useless and dumb step right up. I got my deluxe sample last week and have been trying it out. The oil wand gets in close to the base of your eyelashes and it slightly loosens up your makeup. The wand does not get product through the lashes effectively, and ultimately you just have use another makeup remover to get everything off. Honestly, this product hasn’t made removing eye makeup any easier, and does not eliminate the need of my regular makeup remover at all. Funny enough last time I used it I found not one but two fallen eyelashes on my cheeks the next morning. Not sure if it was a coincidence, but there you go. I can’t believe they couldn’t have at least added some plastic bristles to help you work the formula in your lashes better. I’ve only given it two lips because it isn’t so bad I’ll throw it away, but it is close.
