I have mixed feelings about this makeup remover.
On the one hand, it is quite effective. It is a biphasic oil-based remover, and is particularly effective on lip products. It’s very good at breaking down super pigmented lipstick, when most other removers will just spread it and turn your whole face pink.
It isn’t actually that oily, which can be a good thing, if you don’t like the texture of oil on your face, but it also means it’s not so effective on things like, say, particularly resistant waterproof mascara.
On the other hand, the formula is actually weirdly harsh. I find it can really burn. Especially if you have to rub it in to remove matte or waterproof makeup.
Also, any eye makeup remover which says “avoid any contact with eyes” on the box rings warning bells to me. It can actually burn your eyes, which is worrying and completely counter productive when trying to remove things like eyeliner.
That said, it isn’t abrasive and doesn’t dry out your skin – a problem I have with many makeup removers – and is a nice balance between oily and dry.
All in all I’m not sure whether I’ll repurchase, we’ll see. I’m a big fan of the bottle though, it’s a good size, so will definitely be refilling it if I get something else instead.

After using this i realize that there are tiny oil bubbles on my face. After i stop using it the oil bubbles never came back again. Perhaps oil based makeup remover is not for me. Will not recommend to ladies with oily skin, this will probably make your face even more oily.

A great dupe as I usually use Chanel eye make up remover.

Ever since discovering this make up remover, i wouldn’t settle for any other one. I have attempted to experiment with other make up removers when i am close to finishing a bottle, such as MAC, Bioderma and chemist brands such as Simple. None of the other ones work anywhere close to Laneige. I find it removes any eye and lip make up very well, gentle wipes will suffice. Unlike other make up removers where you have to be more harsh and aggressive. Make up errors are easily fixed by using a Q-tip and some of this remover, works like wonders!

The best eye makeup remover I have ever used. Non oily. Removes every trace of shadow and mascara and even the new, water proof gel eyeliner I’ve been using lately. Nicely priced for the amount in the bottle. Lasts me approx 5 months. I live in So Cal and purchase at H Mart in Irvine. Actually, I purchase a lot of Laneige products from them. =) Def give it a try, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

By far, i have been using this for 2 years now and just bought my 3rd btl yesterday from Tangs@ Vivo city.
I put on alot of stuff on my face daily. Softener/ moisturizer/ eye moisturizer/ sunscreen primer/ concealer and continue by eyeshadow and eyeliner( occasionally i put on fake eyelashes as well so of cuz i have to use e glue)/ eyebrow shadow.
So every night when im back home i will soak 2-3 cotton pad with the makeup remover and press them lightly on my eyelids before i wipe e makeup off. This way it melts e makeup and does remove all tough makeup products. Sound harsh but this product is v gentle on the eyelid. It doesnt leave them feel dry but in fact they feel soft and as if some smooth talcum powder was apply onto the lid!
this product is fragrance free imho unless u have a sensitive nose u might pick up some frangrace which i cannot. 😉
Overall. For Sgd$25/btl which can last me easily for 6mths at least. I think its an extremely great product that i will always repurchase.

This is my favorite makeup remover of all the ones I’ve tried thus far. It works the just as well as the acclaimed Lancome bi-facil and Dior duo express, except the Laneige is much more affordable. The packaging isn’t breathtaking, but it’s still pretty while being simple. The formula is one of the duo phase liquids, which are the best in my personal experience at removing the heaviest of makeup, including waterproof mascara (and I use a lot!). The only downside is it’s not as accessible for those not living in East/South East Asia. I purchased mine in Korea, and have noticed there are a few retailers willing to ship it tot eh US for only a few dollars in mark up. I recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a new makeup remover or just wants to try something new.

This remover removes my mascara and eye liner just like any others but one thing I must share is that : it doesn’t leave yr eyes feeling oily. Other removers (like kao biore) make my eyes oily n feel like a lump of oil is stucked in the eye but this one doesn’t at all.

This is a good eye make up remover I had ever use. Not oily and it clean well on my waterproof eyeliner and mascara. The price was reasonable definitely will repurchase it.

I really like this makeup remover, it makes my eye makeup and lipstick come off very nicely – without a trace. It also works alright with the rest of my face when I wear foundation, but if I didn’t wash my face right after, it breaks me out. After I did wash my face right after, my face feels soft and supple. The scent is very nice too. The only thing I don’t like is that the bottle is too sturdy to squeeze the products out, I always have to shake it out and always end up with too much on my cotton pad. Nice product, I am really tempted to try out the cleansing oil by Laneige now.
