Because I have dry skin, I am always on the search for a hydrating foundation and did pick up a sample of this at Ulta. I used it for about 10 days. The color match was excellent with a natural finish. It was also very lightweight and comfortable to wear. The issue I had with it was the tendency for this formula to settle into pores and lines in about 3 hr of application. I changed up primers, changed to way to deliver the product with brushes, sponges and even my fingers. I also thought it might be the setting powder, so I used a different one nearly every day–Cover FX, Laura Mercier, KVD, TF and Maybelline Fit me. I even tried it without a setting powder and primer. The same result occurred, settling into pores and lines. Sadly, this is not working for me. So glad I tried a sample before purchasing.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Marrowleaf from Perfect eye shadow Before putting this on and how important it is, it IS essential to add eye shadow. You can give this and its other a try as I loved the vision it gave me in my short collection. Really liked the brand in this one. Will definitely use it to see how long I’ll stay on this product. Bought this in June for use by movie industry celebrities.

Wanted to like this and I was very impressed when color matched at Ulta. Seeking something smooth and would even my skin tone which can be sallow. My skin is very dry and I’m prone to that cakey look with certain foundations. Now that I’m home after 3 days it only looks good with an oil based moisturizer and damp beauty blender. As long as I don’t look at my skin in my bathroom mirror, all is well. I know winter is not kind to this 60 year old face but I’m SHOCKED that something with the best ingredients could be so drying. Some oxidation too. Back to the search.

I am seriously in love with this foundation. This covers all the redness so well, has a zero-pore effect, hides my purplish undereye area without creasing, lasts all day. And my husband commented on how fine my skin looked lately. I use Kiehl’s Vitamin C 12.5% Serum underneath and feel so beautiful!!!

I am very impressed by this foundation. I was prepared to pay over $80 for one by Dior, then decided on a whim to try this. I am so glad I did. First, the shade range is fabulous. I stopped wearing Clinique foundation decades ago, when I couldn’t fine a match for my cool-toned, very fair skin. A shame, because my skin is also sensitive, and a line like Clinique’s is better for me. The Even Better line has upwards of 30 shades, including several in the cool toned for the very fair. My color (CN10 Alabaster) matches my skin flawlessly. I would never before have bought a foundation listed as full-coverage (I like sheer coverage), but the SA advised using a damp sponge to make the application more sheer; that works like a charm. I find one application lasts all day (I don’t wear foundation every day). To remove, I use Pond’s cold cream and a damp washcloth. I love the tube packaging– easy to apply drop by drop on the sponge. I think the price is pretty good, considering I was thinking of spending more than double for a foundation. After buying the foundation, I had enough in my beauty budget for a lipstick and blush.

Wow….where to start. I chose this foundation as a freebie from Ulta. I’m so glad I did. I am about a week into this and I want to sing all the praises BUT….there are several factors I simply can’t account for with this limited use. My skin is normal/combo, aging, and oh-so-sensitive. The weather has taken a sudden turn straight to winter so it is unseasonably cold, windy, and wet. Basically, I don’t know how this will hold up in heat and humidity.
I really, really, really want to give this 5 stars because it has been that impressive.
I matched myself to Bone. For reference, I wear Finland NARS Tinted Moisturizer, Buff Revlon Colorstay, BB3 Jane Iredale Glow Time, Light Olive Silk Naturals, Light Olive Mineral Fusion Powder. The match is the BEST!!!!! Where Colorstay is ashy, this looks like skin. Where Jane Iredale kinda oxidizes and is heavy on the yellow, this is very natural. I am so surprised since many Clinique foundations turned orange in the past. Very nice.
This foundation is very forgiving. It applies like a dream – truly better than anything I have tried in years. It spreads nicely with sponge, brush, or fingers. I don’t know how but this foundation really covers, it is very build-able, and it have a brightening quality with NO GLITTER. NONE. It does not smell. I have experienced ZERO discomfort. The finish is very natural and skin-like. There are so many foundations that claim to look like skin but don’t or only for 5 seconds for a photo. I live a real life, not a selfie life so I need the real deal.
Some foundations apply like a dream (initial quality) and then slowly turn into a nightmare as the day progresses like Amore Pacific. My foundation looks just as good at lunch and when I go home. And it is STILL comfortable on the skin. Some long last foundations technically stay to the end of the day but I often sacrifice comfort and polish. I cannot attest to the 24 hours because I don’t live that life. I have been wearing with my Too Faced Primed & Poreless and UD setting spray and setting powder. If you are concerned about dark circles or bags, you will probably have to do something about it. Sadly, I don’t seem to have luck with liquid or cream concealers.
There is minimal transfer which I appreciate. I see women all the time with makeup on everything from phones, to collars, to cuffs – it just looks dirty. The only transfer I’ve had is where glasses sit on the bridge of my nose. I have tried e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g and can’t figure it out how to make it stop.
My only qualm is that I prefer my skincare separate from my cosmetics. While I appreciate all the “good stuff” in this foundation, I would not have selected this had I known it contained salicylic acid because I already SLA and BLA and peels. When you peel, you know you have to be careful what you put on before and after. While I don’t think there is enough in here to doooo anything I wouldn’t have chanced it. That being said….why even add it? Except to say you did? I use sunscreen for sunscreen. I uses treatments to treat. And I use cosmetics to cover and beautify. I don’t go to a burger joint for pizza? So I prefer to keep those two things separated.
Overall, this is such a winner!!!!

I was quite disappointed with this. I was buying something else at Clinique, and they were giving away generous sample pots. The colour match was good, and it looked nice on, with a lovely coverage. It felt good on, and was nice to wear.
I took it away to a conference for four days. By the time I came home I had four or five quite big pimples all along my chin line on both sides. This has never happened to me before, ever. And I had not changed anything else in my routine – we were driving to the conference, so I took all my usual stuff. It can only have been the foundation.
I tried it another time, and same problem.
I have liked other foundations from Clinique, so I am surprised.

So sticky!
I have sensitive super dry skin, so this foundation seemed like it would be a good fit. I’ve used the Even Better Glow since it came out and liked it, but thought this might be a little less shimmery.
It goes on pretty heavy, but has a nice finish. But it never seems to dry down and by the end of the day it’s so sticky and tacky that it ends up irritating my rosacea and making my face extremely red and hot. It doesn’t improve until the foundation is washed off.

Thought I would give this a try after seeing the promotion for it and wow – I was very impressed! Very nice coverage and staying power. I find it blends in smoothly using a dampened beauty blender. This foundation gives a nice glow but not overly shiny. I am a fan of Estee Lauder Perfectionist, which is very nice too, but the EL does not have as good of coverage as the Even Better Refresh. Had to sample a few shades before finding a good match. Also – works even better with a smoothing primer underneath. I would definitely purchase again – this one sells for $32 vs. the Estee Lauder Perfectionist for $52 – and truthfully better coverage. I still use the EL from time to time or mix the two, but really loving the Even Better Refresh for coverage, finish and price point! Definitely a winning product!

This foundation is beautiful. I quickly was able to find a perfect match in the color neutral. It makes my skin look flawless, it looks so natural, not cakey, does not accentuate pores. It unfortunately feels kind of sticky/heavy, hopefully I will get used to it. It definitely leaves a dewy glow which I love. My only concern is the bottle looks small and I feel this bottle will not last a long time. Will update if my skin breaks out..

This may be HG for me. I may possibly have the oiliest skin ever. I have tried pretty much every foundation marketed for oily skin from high end to drugstore. I also have an unusual skin tone. I am very fair but with olive undertones. I picked this shade up in “Flax” and applied it at 6:30am. The coverage is medium to full and it is now 2:30 in the afternoon and while I am a bit shiny, this makeup has stayed put beautifully. It has not faded or oxidized (which is a HUGE issue for my skin) and the shininess is more of a glow. I am absolutely shocked that my face still looks this good. I was afraid this would not work due to it having the words “hydrating” in the title but do not let that fool you. This is a wonderful formulation!
