this is the best eye makeup remover I have ever tried. it removes even the most waterproof mascara. I always use maybelline lash paradise waterproof mascara, and I’ve tried the maybelline remover coz you know, their remover’s formula should at least cater to their own waterproof makeup right? wrong! they cant even remove their own waterproof mascara.
but this innisfree product can remove all sorts of stubborn waterproof mascara! their cotton pad remover works great too if you’d like a portable version.
update: I’ve started using innisfree’s fixcara (clear mascara that holds your curl and what not) before I put on my waterproof mascara. and would you look at that, this makeup remover has met its match. my mascara became incredibly difficult to remove with this almost perfect makeup remover. strange that innisfree’s makeup remover fails to remove their own products. still, the best makeup remover I can find out there.

This is my preferred eye makeup remover, over Bioderma and the “emulsion” version from this brand.
I used to just let my cleansing oils just sit on my face and eyes to help remove everything and then wash it off, but I was spending a lot of time hunched over my sink with oil dripping down my elbows. I found a cleansing gel that I liked (Pure & Aqua Purequa Deep Cleansing Gel — can find this at Marukai stores or Don Quijote), and it emulsified well, but it couldn’t remove my super waterproof Japanese mascara (Heroine Make Long and Curl, or Majolica Majorca Lash King) . So I was on the market for a separate eye makeup remover.
The dual phase means you have to shake up the two layers, which I’m sure everyone understands by now. It removes my eye makeup easily, including eyeshadow, eyeliner and said super waterproof mascara, after I let it sit for a little bit before wiping off.
Bioderma does a great job of removing my face makeup and eyeshadow/liner, but can’t do anything to my mascara so I need something more heavy duty. The “emulsion” version of the Innisfree remover caused blurry eyes which only went away once I washed my face, so I didn’t like that.
This one doesn’t sting, smells nice and gets the job done. I can use one cotton pad for both eyes. Definitely will keep repurchasing again and again.

Stings my eyes. But works.

I bought this on a whim and have been using it for over 6 months (almost empty now). I preferred my cleansing oils to remove my eye makeup because I’m lazy, but also because I feel like it was easier to remove my makeup that way. This remover takes a lot of wipes to remove my waterproof eye makeup, and although it doesn’t irritate my eyes or anything I do have to rub kind of hard. It’s cheap though and still works, but I’m sure there are better ones out there!

Innisfree Apple Juicy Lip & Eye Remover didn’t seem to work as well as my holy grail makeup remover. So I did a simple experiment. The outcome? Innisfree took almost twice as long to remove the same eye makeup as compared to holy grail.

I didn’t used to use eye make up remover and this is one of the first I’ve purchased in a looonnngg time. It removes my eye make up thoroughly but not completely. The reason I’m not fully satisfied is that I feel like if I buy a product specifically to clean my eyes, then I expect there to be not a scrap of make up left, but I still see some mascara left in the bottom of my lashes and they are still dark (I have blonde eyelashes).
I find this stings a bit when I put it on and I always end up with some in my eye. I’m sure it’s alcohol-based and it is going straight on my eyes I get that. That’s probably my main gripe with it. I would also prefer not to have to rub my eyes so much.
This stuff is very cheap though. I paid 6,000 KRW for it (approx. $5.50) and for that price it does an excellent job.
I probably will try something else after. I bought this after reading a good review, but realised after I bought it that they were reviewing the ’emulsion’ version of this remover. I might try that one next time.
I also have the Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Foam of this line and they are great, especially the foam.
