This stuff is fabulous!! Last year I got a small can with a value set that included the Russian Amber shampoo and a conditioner – I actually bought the set specifically to try the shampoo, but I ended up falling in extreme love with the dry version. Wow, does this ever make my hair look great! I am dealing with aging hair, that is just not as full, thick or manageable as it used to be. I thought the answer would be to wash it more often – thinking I needed to keep it really clean and make sure there was no product build up on it. Well – all that did was make my hair really dull, and even more flat than it had been! Before this product, I had used dry shampoo last in the late eighties (HA) and I HATED it. Always looked powdery, made my hair feel dirty and sticky, and took away all the shine! THIS dry shampoo is completely different. I just flip my head over, use a few spritzes on the under layers, straighten up, and tousle – and my hair is fuller, feels thicker, shines beautifully, doesn’t get dry or sticky, curls still stay soft and separated, and – BONUS!! – smells like heaven!! So. When I finally ran out of the small size, about 6 weeks ago or so, I went on a mission to find a similar product at a “better” price. I took the empty can with me to Ulta and Sephora, I made every effort to buy small or trial sizes of several different dry shampoos, and I estimate that I spent about 40-45 dollars. Now I have, like, 6 cans of dry shampoo to give away, and none of them work like Russian Amber, not at all. Have to laugh, I can always hear my mom’s voice, telling me “there’s just no reason to spend that kind of money when something else will do the job”. Except in this case (and a few others I’ve encountered, LOL) nothing else does the job nearly as well as this stuff. So do I wish it wasn’t so expensive? Yeah, I do – cause it really is!! Will I buy it anyway? Yeah, I will – for the performance, it’s worth every single cent.

This smells unbeliveble!!!! Omg I wish I could get a perfume that smell like it 😀
It does a good job – it does what a dryshampoo should do..
I’ll only buy it again if it’s on sale – it’s too expensive for me.

I’m pretty disappointed with this. I’m a big fan of dry shampoo, it’s an absolute must for me to absorb oil in between washings and add volume to my otherwise limp hair. I’ve used Klorane, Batiste, Oscar Blandi etc. before and been content with those, but couldn’t resist this one from my beloved Philip B. Unlike cheaper brands, this does NOT properly clean or volumize my second day hair. It smells amazing, but that doesn’t justify the cost. It goes on clear, and it seems to me that all those clear dry shampoos always fail to absorb oil in my hair. I regret this buy, and I’m gonna use it up only as a hair perfume. Should have bought Bb Hair Powder (white version, the coloured ones suck) instead as my stylist advised me to.
