I’m not sure why this got bad reviews, to me it’s one of the very few toning shampoos that do what they are supposed to do, without drying out my hair.
I get it pretty cheaply from Winners, and to me it works better than Fanola No Yellow, which needs to be left on for a few minutes to do its job. This one, I just wash, rinse, wash again, rinse, apply my conditioner of choice and I’m done, hair looks less brassy but not darker (as it happens with Fanola).
It also cleans my hair well. With other toning shampoos I usually wash with my regular shampoo first then with the toning one, but with this shampoo I feel like it cleans my hair without the need of a different shampoo. It lathers well and smells nice.
I don’t know why I don’t buy it more often, but I can honestly say it is one of the very few shampoo that I ever use up completely before throwing the bottle away.

I had balayage done on my hair in February and since then I have been using this shampoo on my ends once or twice a week. Unlike one of the other reviewers I don’t use it daily as I’m pretty sure it states only to use it a couple of times a week, and that’s what my hairdresser recommended. I normally use a normal shampoo on my roots then I’ll turn the shower off and squeeze excess water out of my hair. Then I’ll apply the purple shampoo and wait at least 5 minutes. I noticed at first it can be a bit drying on my already dry hair so I’ve started to use a hair mask after I use it and let that soak in my hair for 3 minutes or so. Not always the best when you’re in a rush but it does counteract the dryness of the shampoo. Anyway I do notice a huge difference when I use it. I get people asking me if I’ve coloured my hair again. It gets rid of that yellow brassy colour and takes it back to a lovely ash colour which I had when it was coloured. Would definitely buy it again at that price and it really lasts you anyway!

Doesnt turn my hair completely silver, but it does lighten it. i sit with it on for about 10 minutes always a visible difference one con tho get ready for some dryness, should be fine if you deep condition and treat your hair but because of the dryness it brings on i only use it maybe every 2 weeks which is kind of all i need.

I usually use bed head dumb blonde shampoo which I’ve had no complaints works wonders but I was recently on a trip and had to buy a small bottle of purple shampoo so I purchased a bottle of this provoke touch of silver and The day after I had a reaction, the tips of my ears where red & itchy with sore blisters and also had a rash behind them and also my neck where my hair was touching came out in a bumpy red rash, this is really awful stuff I binned it!!

I really like this shampoo. It’s very cheap and does its job perfectly fine.

this purple shampoo is supposed to be for daily use and its supposed to make your blonde hair brighter and less brassy.
it makes my hair even more brassy- and makes my hair super dry. worst purple shampoo ever. do not buy! ( i got this from the UK)
