This is slightly better than drugstore shampoos but not good enough for the price. It didn’t dry out my bleached hair but it also wasn’t very nourishing either as promised. A warning that this doesn’t lather very much and you need to use a lot to get it to spread well. Also has a thick artificial fragrance.

I quite like Kiehl’s products, and this shampoo is no exception. It has a nice “fruity” (but not too) fragrance- certainly not “olive-y”, as I know olives. Lathers nicely, doesnt strip my hair, nor does it leave any kind of residue or film or anything that weighs it down. a fairly good price, but it is just a soap, after all.
better than average.

After reading a blurb on the packaging of this product I was hoping that this would be a replacement for a long mourned Ojon shampoo for dry hair but sadly no.
My hair reacts very well to the oil treatments with olive oil – the ends get nice, thickened and heavy, flyaways and frizz are gone so I was hoping for a similar effect here. This shampoo definitely makes it glossy and light, it also lathers very well and there is absolutely no problem with tangled hair after wash, even without using the conditioner (see my review of that product too) but my hair needs a bit more grit in it.
Sadly this shampoo makes my hair super smooth and glossy which makes it look like there is less of it on my head than I already have (it is not greasy it just falls flat on my head)! It will be much more suited to someone with thick, frizzy, unmanageable hair as it makes it very manageable lol and soft without making it heavy at all.
The fragrance is delicate and inoffensive so if fragranced shampoos are your pet peeve like mine – give Kiehl’s line a go. I do not have any problems with my scalp but if you’re worried, invest in a convenient travel mini (£10) and give it a go if softness of hair and no tugging is what you’re looking for in a shampoo.

I am disappointed by this product for many reasons.
I have curly hair, which can be prone to dryness, but I have never had problems with my scalp. Every time after I was washing my hair with this Kiehl’s shampoo, my scalp was itching . As a result I got dandruff and I could get read of it only when I switched to another shampoo. Besides, my hair was getting way drier every time I was washing it (I am always using a conditioner) and it became also harder to comb it.
The product is definitely overprized. With this shampoo I bought additional problems for my hair.
As to the packaging, the bottle is huge and it would be hard to fit it in a travel bag. Additionally, the cap is very fragile and it got broken after a while.

I use this in winter! Ok!

This is just ok for me – it cleanses fairly well and doesn’t dry out my hair, but it doesn’t seem to add any of the moisturising benefits promised on pack, nor does it help tremendously with softness or shine. It works better in areas with soft water also, the first time I used it in a hard water area my hair felt somewhat coated with greasy roots but dry ends. It was fine when I used it on holiday, and a subsequent time in my home city, so maybe that was a one time bad experience, but I don’t trust it to perform consistently well, and it’s certainly not one of the better shampoos in my rotation. For the price, there is better!

I love this product. My hair is very fine, VERY dry, frizzy, kinda curly, it is a mess, and no matter what I use it is dry. Not after this shampoo! Somehow my hair really loves the Olive oil/Avocado oil combo. (The Garnier Triple nutrition cream shampoo has that too.) This has a light clean smell, lovely texture, makes my hair soft and moisturized, doesn`t weigh my fine hair down at all like many shampoes with oils in them. Gives me a really good amount of MOISTURE!!! :-)))
I got the 8.4 oz bottle (250ml) for $18, and that price range is not very expensive for me as I am used to Aveda, Kerastase, etc prices. Kinda like middle price range, and I am extremely happy with it. I will try the conditioner and deep conditioner for sure!

I came across this shampoo as Kiehls does good decent travel size products.
I have dry and fizzy hair. After a week of using it, my hair becomes softer and smoother. However, lack of shine. I’m now 2 months in with the shampoo and my hair is pretty much still dry.
It’s a pretty average shampoo and don’t see much help on dry and damaged hair.

I received this shampoo as a toiletry at a hotel in Paris, and though it doesn’t tangle or dry my hair, it’s too creamy for my oily scalp to tolerate regularly. Nice smell and pretty good lather so a bit goes pretty far, but not the right fit for my needs.

Great shampoo which I use in conjunction with Olive Fruit Oil Hair Pak …… my hair feels very clean, moisturized and has nice shine …… I have never thought of Kiehls in terms of haircare, but after falling in love with the Hair Pak I ventured onto other items in their haircare line and have been very pleased. Kiehls is pricey but well worth the higher price tag.
