This is a great shampoo. I have a lot of fine 2C hair. This shampoo plus the coordinating conditioner helps my hair stay frizz-free but with defined curls.

My hair: very fine, 2A to 2B waves, dry ends and oily, sensitive scalp.
Something about this shampoo did not work with my scalp. After using daily for about 3 weeks, I developed dandruff and a super itchy scalp. I guess it’s the high glycerin content, but the shampoo felt very slimy in the shower and never seemed to rinse out completely. And clarifying didn’t help. I’ve always struggled with second day hair because my hair is so fine, but my second day hair with this shampoo was just…gross.
Also worth noting that it left my ends dry and tangly, which is odd considering the high glycerin content. To be fair, I didn’t use the matching conditioner, I used a Bounce Curl conditioner, which also didn’t work for me.
So just a friendly heads-up that those of ya’ll with scalp issues, or glycerin sensitivity, or fine and oily hair—this product might not work for you. Hope it helps someone out there!

This with the DevaCurl One Condition Delight, the Wave Maker, and the Curl Maker is my 2C/3A wavy/curly holy grail routine. It cleans my hair without drying it, and I love the smell. The only downside for me is that a little does NOT go a long way. I go through this stuff entirely too fast for the price.

I tried the low pop delight starter kit. So I tried the shampoo and conditioner. I have sort of wavy hair. It straightens really easily but it can look quite wavy the day I wash it. I wanted to encourage the curls so I thought I’d try this. It smells nice and lathers enough to not feel weird when I wash my hair. My hair is more curly when it drys. I air dry. The curl doesn’t last any longer, it still looks more flat on day two (and I usually wash once to twice a week). I didn’t notice any build up which was exciting. However, this made my scalp itchy. Like really itchy. And then I’d pull out fistfuls of hair in the shower. It just got worse. Finally I googled to see if this was a thing, and yes, it is. So I stopped using the shampoo (and conditioner) and the itching stop. My hair loss is slowing down.

This low-poo is just okay – to be fair it’s the first one I have used. I can use this for 3-4 washes and then I need to use more of a “normal” shampoo because the Low Poo Delight just does not take care of build up and my roots look gross after a couple of weeks using this. It doesn’t strip my hair, which is great. Smell is fine – neither good or bad. Price is very high considering what it is. I will likely look at other options before I would re-purchase this one.

This was part of the “Deva Curl Wavy Mini Transformation Kit” (containing Low-Poo Delight, One Condition Delight and Wave Maker).
I am not sure how to rate this product. It felt great on my hair, cleansed and rinsed out well.
I would have given it top rating if it weren’t for the very strong fragrance which I can’t deal with.
Therefore I would not buy it again.
If you are not sensitive to fragrance – this is great product otherwise.
However, I also purchased their Microfiber towel – it is great. It instantly removes almost all the water without making my hair frizzy.

I found this at Kroger of all places! I had kind of tucked deva into my back pocket becoz I don’t go to salons & I barely ever go to Sephora/ulta (can’t order online for personal reasons). My scalp feels a bit itchy but my entire body is itchy & im prone to urticaria hives on a reg Basis so I think it’s that. Not the products. My hair turned out pretty darn good today when I used low poo, One conditioner, arc anGel, & styling cream. My hair is still wet which is weird I washed it this morn late morn & it is 4:45pm still had some slightly damp areas later than usual for me I don’t blow my hair dry (no heat for me) it is just now almost dry. I’ll suck it up and deal w life!! This lathers soooo much better than low poo (of course!!), & I don’t need more a quarter sized dollop to wash my hair. I felt like I needed so much more product w no poo comparatively. This is way different than no poo. To me much better. If you didn’t like no poo try low poo.

I received this as a free sample. The regular deva line did nothing for me and did cause some buildup issues. I figured I’d try this since it’s an actual shampoo (even if it’s “low poo”). While it worked fine, I didn’t find it great. It really didn’t leave much impression as good or bad, just sort of “meh”. It did clean well without stripping hair, although it doesn’t leave it feeling soft and moisturized. I didn’t really like how my scalp still had buildup and was worried I’d end up with the same scalp issues I had when I tried CG and some other low poo options, although I didn’t use long enough to find out for sure if it would cause issues or not. This is my last deva try, as I just think this brand and ingredients and I aren’t compatible. I have 2c hair that tends to be dry, coarse, frizzy, is not thin nor is it thick, low porosity. I live in a dry, desert climate.

To start off I have 2c/3a wavy hair that has highlights and tends to frizz very easily. I have always fought to get my waves to look like curls instead of wavy frizz. I have used other version of Devacurl’s low poo and no poo (cannot use any of those) and this is the first one I truly love. Usually I use SheaMoisture Moisture Retention shampoo. But after using two bottle in a row of that I noticed my hair getting dry.
Delight Low Poo helped my dryness immediately. It has a lot of glycerin in it so it is a slick feeling shampoo. I like a low lather shampoo with this is, it does lather a bit more if you add more water as you are shampooing.
This left my hair feeling soft and I could detangle without need to put conditioner on. I cannot ever do that with the SheaMoisture shampoo.
I have used this for over a month and had no build up or had to use a clarifying shampoo. So all in all this is a great find. I can even use it on my 5 year old granddaughter’s curly hair and not need a conditioner.
Best Devacurl cleanser for me, ever.

Having gone through a bottle of this and the DeLight conditioner now, I think I can review it pretty fairly. I like this low-poo best of all the Deva poos, it has a LOT of glycerin which can feel slimy if you’re not used to it in a shampoo. I usually wash 2x with this, which I don’t usually do.
It’s light and gently cleansing, and it’s very nice with the conditioner, but I am still happiest with Redken Curvaceous for my low-poo. Won’t repurchase. Fine 2c/3a/Botticelli at about bsl.
