I really wanted to like this! The scent is polarizing, you either love it or hate it. If you like ouds and challenging fragrances, then the scent of the One is a welcome change from the world of “green apple”, “white rain” generic scents of most shampoos. Otherwise, I’ll bet that many people find this too “perfume-y” and “old lady”. Their loss.
The shampoo itself is very clarifying; it removed all the oil from very greasy roots after about 2-3 days without washing. It didn’t feel painfully dry and it didn’t ruin my hair, (it seems like people are washing their ends — folks, you gotta deep cleanse your scalp with your shampoo, too!). I just followed up with whatever conditioner I had on hand. The thing about this shampoo is that my hair just looked amazing after drying. Glossy, straighter, it just looked great with minimal styling, I’m guessing because it seems to have removed anything that might dull or weigh down my hair since it was so clarifying.
The reason I won’t buy it again? After many days of usage, I’ve determined that there is something in this that makes me breakout in semi painful small and large bumps and pimples all over my face, nose and chin — anywhere the shampoo runs down my face when I rinse. If you’re sensitive to botanical ingredients or essential oils, know that there are many in this product and check the ingredient list. I can’t exactly pinpoint what it is, but unfortunately I cannot continue using it. The search continues.

Nothing good to say about this except the bottle is cute. My hair is long, color treated, with normal strand thickness but lots and lots of hair. It is on the drier side but not super damaged. This shampoo made my hair so tangly and knotted, but on top of that, never really made my hair feel “clean.” It doesn’t smell that great either. Luckily I only bought the trial size bottle. The conditioner isn’t much better.

The good stuff- I love the packaging and bottles. They’re so pretty and pour out well. The lid is nice and the size is good. It even comes in travel sizes. The convenience of target is also appealing.
The bad- It dries out my colored hair like no other shampoo/conditioner has ever done. The ends feel so dry and my hair actually tangles when I blow it out after using this stuff. I have thick but FINE strand color treated medium length hair. My hair looks and feels like I’ve been outside in the wind all day after I use this- kind of greasy but dry on the ends and tangly. I really really wanted to love this stuff- I’ve actually tried it so many times, I’ve bought several bottles since at first I honestly thought I just had damaged hair. I just bought it again for a trip – after a long break from it- (since target was out of other travel size shampoos) and my hair is exactly the same today- tangled and the ends feel like straw. It also irritates my scalp- I will have patches of eczema occasionally near my hairline at the neck and this stuff irritates it.
Conclusion: Steer clear if you have dry, color treated fine hair. Or sensitive scalp.

So expensive but my hair looks and smells GREAT today???????? I can see why some people hate the scent tho- it’s a powdery floral that’s very strong. Lately I am a daily washer so my hair gets pretty clean. This shampoo would not cut it if I skipped days- it’s thin & doesn’t have much lather. I might buy again but it’s not the best shampoo ever

Zero lather for this girl.
I read glowing reviews, so I had to try this! I do like this shampoo and it did keep my hair from getting super greasy the next day. I did not, however, get ANY lather. Still don’t. It also doesn’t wash the Recovery Balm out of my hair, so I was left with very greasy hair. Definitely not clarifying, but good for regular everyday use.

I’m usually into Kevin Murphy, but I wanted to try something on the more reasonable price side.
My hair is a combination of fine, but LOTS of it. Oily, but with dry ends. Frizzy in the Florida humidity. I have a very difficult time finding something that will keep me from getting dry ends while also sopping up the oil at my roots. And if either is off, good luck styling this mop.
This shampoo/conditioner duo did NOT disappoint. Absolutely plan to repurchase.
The shampoo is very high lather, which I like. I know it doesn’t matter for cleanliness, but I guess I just like to know I got my whole head, because I have so much hair. My roots aren’t greasy for the day or two to follow, which is totally unusual.
The conditioner was perfect, thick enough that it really moisturized, but rinsed well, leaving my hair feeling balanced and ready for styling.
The smell is great. My hair stylist even complimented me today, sticking her nose right into my hair!
Plus: The peachy colored bottles are super sophisticated and look grownup in my shower. Even the texture of the bottle is totally unique and lovely.

I came across this duo while passing the hair care aisle at my local Target. I was only there to pick up some travel stuff for a flight the next morning, but I caught a glimpse of the bottles and they just drew me in (I’m a sucker for peach shades lol). I had never heard of the line before, didn’t have any information about it, but all it took was one sniff for me to throw them in my cart….price be damned! The shampoo and conditioner are $10 each and contain 10 oz each. Its actually not too bad now that I think about it, but the soft rubberized matte bottles do look pretty small (and let me just say, expertly designed).
This shampoo is called The One Signature Shampoo. It claims it’s for all hair types, is lightly clarifying, high lathering, safe for daily use and is sulfate free. These products contain a signature complex called “Zip Up Technology” that apparently strengthens hair, “zip ups” split ends, targets weak areas of the hair, smooths the cuticles, diminishes the appearance of damage, and protects hair from environmental stressors all while preventing color from fading.
That is definitely a LOT of claims!
After reading the previous review I was a little concerned, I’ll be honest. After finally getting a chance to use them today however, I’m a COMPLETE convert!
My hair is cut into an A-line (just above the shoulder) bob that is naturally pretty straight, although I do have areas underneath that are wavy and typically frizz up. Before I got my hair cut I had a really bad problem with breakage, shedding and split ends. I haven’t colored my hair in almost 4 years at this point. I still have a lot of apparent broken hairs that have been growing out, and I’ve tried a lot of products over the last few months. This is the first shampoo and conditioner combo that has made a VERY noticeable difference.
I tend to lean toward volumizing products in general, but it’s hard to find volumizing products that also make my hair look smooth. Typically it’s one or the other.
This combo makes my hair feels SO soft, so full of body, yet, it’s SO smooth and shiny!
The shampoo is a little thick, which is the only reason I’m docking a lippie. I had to add a bit more water to my hair once I started to work the shampoo in to get a good lather. It’s not AS thick as some other shampoos I’ve tried recently, but it was enough that I had to work just a tad harder. The conditioner was perfect and actually next time, I’ll use a bit less because of how easily it glides through the hair, but with the conditioner you really need to rinse VERY well. I recommend rinsing a bit longer than maybe you normally would (this also could potentially have been the issue for the previous reviewer because I feel no buildup whatsoever).
The scent is absolutely incredible. I cant quite put my finger on it but it smells like a very clean light floral with a hint of a vanilla finish. I hate to say floral because it doesn’t really quite give the right impression. I’m not a floral fan and I am in LOVE with this scent. It definitely lingers in the hair for a really long time, so if you don’t like the scent this may not be for you. It’s been 12 hours and my hair still has the scent. It’s not overbearing, or fake smelling or perfumey…it’s just a really clean scent. I love it.
All in all, I’m really impressed with how my hair looks, feels, and smells. I’m definitely going to be purchasing again and in fact, I think I’m going to stock up on a few bottles of each and may even try out some of the styling products.

The price is $10 at Target. I read really good reviews for this shampoo. I felt like this hair was too stripping. The fragrance is amazing.
I have thick dry hair (the bottle says for any type of hair), but I felt this left a slight sunburn feeling on my scalp…
The next day my hair was super greasy. 🙁
I really wanted to like this, but I don’t think I will buy this product again. As a matter of fact I am returning this…
