I’m a longtime reader of A Model Recommends, so when I heard Ruth Crilly had her own line of dry shampoo, I longed to try it. COLAB products are not so easy to find stateside, unfortunately, but I was able to pick up a bottle of the Active Dry Shampoo + on a trip to Europe (I’ve since bought a bottle of the original formula on a subsequent trip). Let me just say–this is a great product. It does the job just as well as my beloved Batiste, and it smells delightful–very light and fresh.
Now, a major selling point of COLAB dry shampoos is that they don’t leave a white residue. I have dark hair, but I never have a problem using normal dry shampoo. I just rub it in really well, and boom: No white residue. But if residue plagues you, you might want to try this brand. This particular “flavor” also supposedly offers UV and pollution protection.
I believe I paid something like 3 EUR for a 200 ml (6.7 fl oz) can. I haven’t seen it in any stores near me, but I will definitely snap it again if I get the chance. It hasn’t replaced Batiste for me, but it’s a nice supplement to it.
