Very good for wetness. Does okay with smells… not the best. Good price for how much you get compared to most clinical deodorants.

I’m a sweater. Like, prescription strength sweater. It got worse when I started taking a certain medication a few years ago and, though I’m off it now, the sweating hasn’t let up.
I’ve tried many of the marketed clinical strength deodorants. Mitchum, Secret, Dove, Lady Speed Stick, all promise clinical strength, but did next to nothing for me. Kept most smell away, I’ll give them that, but my underarms would still always end up soaked after a couple hours, even in the winter.
The only thing that ever really helped was Perspirex. It’s still my absolute favourite, but it’s pricey. I can’t justify $20 every 2 weeks for deodorant. For the last 6-7 months or so, my everyday choice is either Mitchum or Secret clinical soft solids. They don’t do much for the wetness, but hey, I don’t stink.
I wet to repurchase the other day and noticed the Soft & Dri on the sheft. It was about $3 cheaper than the Secret I was planning on grabbing, so I figured I’d give it a shot. If worse came to worse and it sucked, I would regulate it to night use.
I’ve been using it about a week so far and I’m impressed. Though it doesn’t completely alleviate wetness, it’s MUCH more effective than any of the other off-the-shelf clinical formulas I’ve used before. I think part of this may be due to the fact that it’s a solid deoderant (comes up in a solid block) rather than a “soft solid” (squeezes out of little holes in the top of the dispenser with a thick lotion-like consistency). Right during the initial application, it’s already drier than its soft-solid/gel counterparts.
I still end up with some wetness, especially at work, but it’s much more manageable and much less uncomfortable and noticeable than with other deodorants. I’ll likely keep purchasing this as long as my body doesn’t adjust and begin over-compensating for it (I’ve had this problem before. Something works decently for a month or two, then it’s like my body recognizes there’s a stronger barrier so it makes more sweat. Bleck). For those of you normal sweaters, this is a fantasic, pretty darn strong deodorant that doesn’t cost much more than standard deodorant.

I love, love, love this deodorant!! It works well..not that I use deodorant much.. but I just love everything about it!
The only think is that I can’t ever find it(??) And. Because I can’t find it I end up using different deodorants instead. I wish this was more readily available :-/ is it discontinued??!!

Love this stuff!! Usually I am not a soft and dri gal but even clinical strength deo has been letting me down. I’ve recently started some medication with excess sweating as a side effect (lovely!) but this stuff is the only one. THE ONLY ONE literally. I’ve tried them all, that works. It’s my holy grail. An so cheap. It’s great. Highly recommend!

I’ve been using soft & dri aluminum free all winter and spring because it smells great and I loved the aluminum free aspect. However, once the summer humidity kicked in, I realized I needed an antiperspirant again, regardless of the aluminum. I was sweating unbearably, but not only that, my trusty soft & dri wasn’t doing anything for odour anymore 🙁
I was planning on buying either secret or Dove clinical strength but was turned off by how costly they were ($7 CAD or MORE!), when Soft & Dri Clinical Protection caught my eye. At only $4 CAD and boasting the same ingredients, it was available in an aerosol and a solid. I always hated that the other clinical deodorants were this lotion type stuff that gets over everything so the solid was perfect!
As soon as I got home I showered, dried my pits and applied. The one thing I will say is a little goes a long way, so don’t feel the need to over apply, this stuff will work with just a thin layer and you’ll avoid any powdery residue. It would probably work better applied before bed or first thing in the morning, but it WORKS. It has a very mild, unoffending scent that isn’t too girly. You will just smell clean and fresh. It has been a very hot and sticky day today, and literally the only part of my body that isn’t sweating is my armpits. I am begging you, go out and give this a try, you’ll save money, and because it’s a solid instead of a soft twist-up it will last forever!
