Pros:
+reasonable price
+nice moisturizing, creamy texture which doesn’t make my skin feel tight and dry, doesn’t feel too heavy either
+has medium to full buildable coverage
+doesn’t look cakey or mask like and isn’t difficult to blend unlike most other cream foundations with more than medium coverage
+has a nice semi matte finish
+has very good longevity.doesn’t look patchy or flakey or oily at the end of the day
+doesn’t break me out
+I like that it’s shades are classified.it makes them easy to choose
+it’s jar looks expensive,is recyclable and doesn’t leak(I have traveled with it)
Cons
-it’s strongly perfumed
-jar packaging isn’t hygenic and easy to use
-not a wide shade range
Recommend to whoever wants more than moderate coverage yet natural look and likes creamy texture and semi matte finish and can get along with perfumed foundations
Lately I’ve been on a quest to find my HG foundation so I purchased a lot of different foundations and sampled a lot more.Yves Rocher Comfort Cream Foundation is definitely one of the good ones.I may even call it great
It’s marketed as a foundation for people with dry skin but I believe it would be good for all skin types maybe except super oily ones..It’s finish is not matte, not dewy either but is more on the matte side without looking dry and powdery.it’s like a healthy,well-moisturized matte if it makes any sense!
The following two paragraphs are about my skin condition, you can skip these two if you want to go directly to the review part
I normally(when I follow a good skincare routine) have a normal skin in my T-zone and dry skin in other parts(not flakey dry) but sometimes specially when my skin doesn’t like a product a severe eczema reaction starts and my skin becomes very dry, flakey and red, sometimes this reaction is in form of acne,my clear skin becomes full of acne when I use wrong skincare or cosmetic product or when I wax my face to remove it’s hairs
90% of foundations(even BB creams) don’t sit well and blend well on my skin and cling to all of my dry patches and look flakey, chalky and horrible when I’m in my bad skin days.while having such a dry skin,my forhead gets greasy after a while(it’s both greasy and flakey dry,is this even possible!?? 🙁 I think it’s because I have to use rich moisturizers,in bad skin days I’d better don’t bother with foundations/BB creams/tinted moisturizers ,but even in my good skin days I’m not really satisfied with how most foundations look on me.
Review
YR Zero Default Comfort Cream Foundation is one of the rare foundations with good coverage that sits well on my combo-dry-dehydrated-sensitive skin.the other foundations that look good on me are Mac Face&Body,Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation,Maybelline Dream BB Cream and they all have sheer coverage but this one has buildable medium to full coverage.it covers all the redness, pores and acne marks,I even can skip concealer which I usually can’t with other foundations as I have hard to cover dark cycles, the good point is that it doesn’t look cakey or too heavy and doesn’t cling to my dry patches as much as other foundations.it gives my skin such close to flawless, air brushed look but at the same time doesn’t look like a mask on face.it doesn’t oxidize a lot, doesn’t settle inside pores.it creases a bit in Alae of my nose but that usually happens for me with thick foundations.
It’s also very long lasting..yesterday was a very busy shopping day,I walked for hours, sweated under lights of stores and at the way back home,I fall asleep on my husbands shoulder.I was surprised when I saw myself in the mirror at home.my foundation was still there without much change, just looked a bit dryer and some of my dry patches were showing up and my nose looked a shiney, just a little but all in all it didn’t look like a hot mess as I had expected after 8 hours of walking, sweating, putting on and taking out a dozen of clothes
I sometimes use ST.Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer and sometimes Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Intense Hydrating Gel Cream as a base, also apply Maybellin’s green color corrector primer, apply this foundation and finally use a setting spray(usually Mac’s or Nyx)
It’s not runny and liquid, not very thick and tacky either.lt has a creamy texture which goes on smoothly on skin and is not difficult to blend.I apply it with finger tips or a brush, then tap a damp beauty blender on my skin for final blends.I sometimes mix a drop of Body Shop Iluminator (A Drop Of Glow) with it and the result is a wonderful, luminous look
It has “200 Beige” and “200 Rose” for light(but not too fair) skins,”200 beige” has a green-yellowish undertone and was darker than 200 rose,I had to choose “200 Rose” as it was the lightest option but I guess 100beige is the right shade for my fair-golden skin(C1 in Mac, 51 in Bourjois Healthy Mix),fortunately 200 Rose doesn’t look too off as it’s not too dark or too pink and is more on the neutral side
All in all It was a good purchase.it was 13$,not too cheap but not expensive either.the only negative is it’s packaging.it comes in a glass jar which looks high quality and luxurious but I prefer foundations in pump or tube packages.good that I have tiny plastic spatulas so there’s no need to put my fingers inside the cream.the other con is that it’s strongly perfumed.I wish Yves Rocher stops doing this as I love it’s products but don’t like their scent.I don’t hate it’s fresh-flowery-herbal scent but don’t like it either.I wish it doesn’t cause break outs as it’s one of the rare foundations that looks good, lasts and wears well in time and my skin doesn’t feel tight and dry after using it
Edit:
I still use and love it.fortunately didn’t cause any breakouts even though it’s strongly perfumed.I believe this foundation deserves being more popular.I’m not going to run out of it any time soon as a little of it goes a long way but definitely will repurchase but probably this time in shade 100Beige

this is the only foundation i’ve tried by yves rocher and i was satisfied with my purchase. it’s fairly matte and full coverage, which i like (matte foundation/lips were the thing when i was growing up and i still love them!) it makes my skin glowy yet matte, which is a great combination. i’m also thankful for having a neutral/cool toned option in the paler skin tones (pink/rose 100.) it goes great with my skin and isn’t too yellow, which can happens more often than i’d like when trying new foundations.

Sorry for my english BUT HERE IS THE POINT:
This is a bad bad foundation! The worst!
Good for dry skin? Please…It shows my dry parts as if I am wearing zink baby powder.
No matter what I have tried, it just didn’t work. I have moistured my skin, use hyaluron serums underneath, believing that my skin condition is bad and try not to blame it on Iyes Rocher, but it just couldn’t hide the simple truth. It is an awful product.
It’s a shame thow because it has a great shade pallettes.

Great coverage, doesn’t leave a oil slick on my face at the end of the day even though I have oily skin and this is a heavier foundation. I don’t even need to use a concealer. Great color. will rebuy. Only thing is that I have to stick my fingers in it to use and this is a bit unhygienic. Works amazing with the beauty blender and end up with a powder like finish.

A high coverage,long lasting,natural looking foundation.
I have combination skin but It fits nicely and doesn’t make my face oily and it doesn’t emphasis my dry patchs eighter.

I think I’ve loved every Yves Rocher foundation which is really strange. I have dry-combination skin with large pores, acne, acne scars, and some fine lines. I love a moisturizing foundation.
The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is that it doesn’t really have enough coverage for me. I would say that it reminds me of the Missha BB cream I also really like. I will say that if you do not like fragrance in a foundation, you won’t like this one because the fragrance is pretty strong. I really like the fragrance so it doesn’t bother me.
This doesn’t break me out or irritate my skin so I’m certainly planning to use this a lot in the future.

This is an amazing foundation at a very decent price.
It covers very well, I have dark undereye circles and don’t need a concealer with this. Despite the full coverage, it look very, very natural and stays in place. This may be the best (best coverage, most natural looking, long lasting) foundation I have ever used!
Dewy look, I use a light dusting of powder on the nose.
Lightest cold shade even a bit too pale for me!
I am 44, lines and wrinkles, very pale, dryish skin.
Only minuses are the heavy fragrance, unhygienic jar packaging. And of course all the ingredients…I loves 100% Pure foundation until they changed the palest color to too dark for me.

The foundation itself is very good, it is a thick cream foundation that goes on smoothly and melts into the skin. It is medium to full coverage but does not look cakey at all. It lasts all day without getting shiny or accentuate my dry patches.
The only downsides to this foundation is firstly the smell. It has a very strong perfume smell to it. The packaging is also a bit of a miss. Allthough it looks very classy, a glass jar with a dark purple lid, the hole on top is really tinty.

I have combo skin. I mistakenly bought this one.
When I found out that this is for dry skin, I use it by mixing it with my favorite matte moisturizer because this is a very HIGH COVERAGE foundation.
It did not break me out however.
and also, I have it for 5 years, I keep it in the fridge and it did not go bad, it did not change consistency, nor it developed an odd scent.
I can say this foundation is for dry-normal sensitive skin ladies who want high coverage.
