   This is surprisingly okay. It’s not fabulous at all. But, it fulfills a niche for me.

   That niche is: I am lazy AF and when I am hauling my sleep deprived carcass to work, but wish to exert
   absolutely minimum effort at applying my makeup, it’s perfect.

   This stuff is great for that. It’s literally the one and only foundation I’ve ever tried on my incredibly oily skin, that does not need setting powder. It’s one step and done.

   Yes, it clings to dry bits. Be moisturized. Yes, it is inclined to streak if you go to ham with it. Apply lighter end of medium coverage, minimal is better. It breaks down surprisingly little… like, a bit, but better than many, and basically better than anything else I’ve tried alone and without setting powder. (Powder, oddly, did not improve the situation much at all.)

   I’m lucky in that the W3 color is perfect for me which makes it a LOT easier to lazily smear on with minimal effort, and it doesn’t break me out. These two sheer luck factors give it a giant plus for me personally. YMMV, but decent shade range.

   Also I can build it enough for my undereyes. (I’m 41 and concealer is sometimes counter-productive… this works fine for medium coverage under my eyes.)

   It’s not a showstopper foundation by any means- I’m not gonna be admiring myself in mirrors during the day like the best ones I own. But. It is by far and away the fastest way to put some reasonably decent looking foundation on super fast. Like, two minutes max. I’ve planned it twice and am on #3… it does go quickly though.

   I definitely don’t hate it. I’d never wear it out for anything special but for the fastest way to look minimally put together at work? HECK YES.

   I have this in C6 but I find that it looks gray on me. the product was also drying.

   I ran out of my Physician’s Formula compact makeup and thought I’d try this.

   Pros: convenient packaging, average pricing, lots of shade choices.

   Cons: transfers onto everything. very drying, collects in creases, not long-wearing, not enough product.

   I wouldn’t repurchase this.

   First off, this isn’t my go-to foundation. I bought it because I like the L’Oréal True Match in the little glass bottle, and I wanted a compact foundation to carry around on the go. Plus, this was marked something like half-off at Walgreens, so I thought, why not. I can touch up with this on the go and get a bit of added sun protection. For those purposes it works really well for me.

   I do like the formula. I have normal skin that tends to get drier in winter, but for spring and summer this will do very well. It applies well and blends easily. I bought the color N1, which matches my skin tone. (Oddly, the liquid formula, I use N2, and that’s also a good match, so I don’t understand why the tones vary in the same line.) But I eyeballed it right and picked something that works, so lucky me, I guess. It looks natural on me, though I prefer to blend with my fingers and use the compact sponge only to really do the first application to my face.

   It’s handy for me, a good fit for my skin tone, covers some trouble spots, gives a tiny bit of sun protection, and it’s a good on-the-go item. I notice no real scent or anything either, so overall I like it. I’m sure this will last me through the summer, and if it doesn’t, I’d consider buying it again, but it’s not essential. Some months after purchasing it, I mainly keep it in my purse for touchups if I need to freshen my makeup or I use it as on-the-go concealer. It’ll get more use in summer, if it’s not expired by then, but I do prefer a lighter formula if my skin is in good shape.

   I picked this up, used it a couple of times.
   It seems very similar to the MAC Studio Tech foundation.
   I haven’t used it in awhile but I’ll pick it up again to compare to this.

   They’re both cream-to-powder foundations and well… Emphasis on “powder” these types of foundations are usually better for those with normal to oily skin.
   Regular cream foundations are better for dry skin since they have more emollients and don’t dry down to a powder, they keep a satin type of finish.

   One thing I HATE is the color. I normally use W4 Natural Beige in the True Match Super Blendable liquid, True Match powder, true match mineral foundation as well as the Infallible Pro Matte.
   This foundation is just too light. It looks darker in the packaging and I heard it ran lighter but I assumed it was cause others didn’t know their “True Match” shade and got the Compact Makeup by glancing at the packaging but, no.
   Even if you’ve used the others, go a shade down.

   I’m normally an NC30-35 in MAC and this looks more like an NC25-NC30. Just a tad off than the usual Natural Beige (W4) but I could put a light dusting of my studio fix to add some color.

   Like studio tech, this works best with a small amount and a sponge. Brushes end up making it look streaky. This really glides on and is super easy and fast.
   It gives a good amount of coverage, I also like that it has a chemical sunscreen rather than titanium dioxide like the super blendable liquid, don’t really get any flashback with this shade.

   I’ll keep using this and see how I like it, so far, so good. I’ve been loving L’orèal foundations

   Didn’t like this at all.

   It was not super blendable as it claims on the package. Instead it just sat on my skin, obvious that i was wearing makeup. It enhanced the tiniest of dry patches (and I’m combo to oily skin) I had on my face and the coloring was much lighter than what it looked inside the compact. I had to pack on bronzer to make it less noticeable.

   The packaging is nothing special but it’s at least sturdy and has a separate compartment with a mirror and sponge.

   I used to love the True Match liquid fdtn and thought this would be just as good but I was wrong.

   I rather liked this. It isn’t amazing, but it definitely is above average and the price when it goes on sale is great. It has a dry texture. When I think of a cream to powder I think of something a little more creamy. This is not. It is almost like a powder with some emollience to it. Hard to describe. It doesn’t make me break out which is a major plus for my acne prone skin. It wears pretty good. Has a build-able coverage to it. Doesn’t leave me oily and has a matte finish. I tend to get pretty oily with a lot of foundations making me look like an oil slick after a while. This one was rather nice. I would have liked it to be a little more creamy and have more glide while applying, but then it might have not have had as matte of a finish if it did? I also want there to be a 2.5 shade option and not just a 2 and 3. I truly am a 2.5, but 3 works and I don’t mind looking a little tan. All in all this is a great formulation for a foundation that is quick and easy to use, gives a matte finish and is above average with spf. I should note this is not a powder. Update: After using it a couple of days it does help contribute to my acne prone skin breaking. Not good for acne prone skin. Remove 1 lippie. Still better then average though.

   A lot of reviewers are writing this is a powder and I think they are accidentally reviewing the wrong product. This is in fact a cream to powder foundation and not to be confused with True Match Powder (completely different product).

   I bought this in the very lightest shade (porcelain) to match my super fair skin. It looked fine in the package, but went on incredibly white. I might have been willing to experiment with a darker shade if the texture had been better, but this foundation didn’t seem to blend well at all. Instead of sinking into the skin, it just sat on top. It also brought out every line and pore. A total waste of money.

   I love powder/compact foundations, I just find them easier to apply. I picked this up at Big Lots in the color C2 for $4.50.

   I’m pale, but this stuff applies Kabuki white. It does oxidize a wee bit darker over time, but, this stuff never sinks in. It’s almost unblendable. I’ve tried the included sponge, a brush and my fingers. It just smears around your face.

   That being said, wear time is not great, it looks cakey and blotchy.

   Now I know why it landed at Big Lots.

   I’m going back to my Covergirl Compact Make-up.

    I bought this after a long search to replace my HG (sadly discontinued!) Smashbox Camera Ready Cream foundation. I wanted a cream-to-powder compact formula because it’s much easier to travel with than liquids and is happier on my combination skin. It took a looonggg time to find any brand foundation in the right shade for my light peach skin tone. Most are either too neutral beige-ashy or too pink. The drugstores that sell this here don’t have testers, just garish overhead light and “color cards” that are shiny, streaky, and faded, so it takes a while to figure out a good match. I finally chose W3, and it works pretty well for me. I adjust with bronzer in the summer.

    L’Oreal Super Blendable gives lighter coverage than my lamented Smashbox, so it takes more layering to cover my reddish spots. It does blend well; I apply it with the included sponge, then blend in edges or dab on extra with a concealer brush. It does not set up as long-lasting as long as Smashbox, wears off in hot weather, rubs off on tissue when I blow my nose. So not a perfect substitute, but better than other current choices. It’s nearly the same price per ounce though! At least the compact and sponge is a much better package!

    I also apply Super Blendable with a small firm brush as an eyelid primer/highlighter, then immediately brush a light layer of beige powder eyeshadow over it, and let it set. This lasts most of the day unless weather is very hot and humid.

    I’d buy L’Oreal Super Blendable again until Smashbox comes to their senses and resurrects Camera Ready.
